New Orleans Saints Bus Egged By Atlanta Airport Workers

The New Orleans Saints did not receive a warm welcome when they arrived in Atlanta. The Saints bus was egged by a few employees at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after the team landed on Wednesday night.

A spokeswoman for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport told Kait8:

“It has been confirmed that eggs were thrown at a New Orleans Saints’ charter bus as they departed the ramp last night. Airline workers were in the ramp area. Airport and airline officials are investigating the incident, and further information will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, Atlanta Police will augment the airline security presence during the team’s departure.”

Several players on the New Orleans Saints took to Twitter to talk about the incident.

Tight end Jimmy Graham wrote on Twitter: “Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy!”

Quarterback Chase Daniel added: “Wow … we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!”

Linebacker Will Herring found humor and motivation from the situation. Herring wrote: “First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans! (This game) should be fun!!”

The New Orleans Saints have been the only team to hand the Atlanta Falcons a loss this season. The 5-6 Saints beat the Falcons on November 11 in New Orleans and will now try to beat the team on their home turf. Needless to say, the Saints will be walking into a hostile environment today.

Are you surprised that a few Falcons fans egged the New Orleans Saints bus?
