Lil Wayne Wants To Be ‘Happily Married’ Soon

Not only is Lil Wayne planning on retiring, but he also seems to be making plans to walk down the aisle soon.

The rapper told MTV that he is thinking about settling down. When MTV’s Sway asked if he saw himself married in the future, he responded, “Yup. Yeah, man, yup. Happily married, too.”

Weezy — or Tunechi, whichever you prefer — was so excited that he used an analogy from one of his favorite sports: baseball. He said, “I’ll probably run down the aisle. I’ll probably slide into the preacher like it was home plate.”

If and when Lil Wayne — born Dwayne Carter — does decide to tie the knot, it won’t be his first trip down the aisle. He married his high school sweetheart, Toya Wright (born Antonia Johnson), in 2004. The two divorced two years later, but still have a close relationship that revolves around their daughter, 14-year-old Reginae Carter.

In February, there was speculation that Lil Wayne was planning to marry then-girlfriend, Dhea Sodano. He tweeted, “She said yes,” and many people took that as sign that he had proposed to Sodano. When he realized his mistake the next day, he wrote, “Ohhhhhhh now I see why! I meant ‘she said yes’ to being my valentine!!!” Hahahahahahaha! Y’all krazy!”

Lil Wayne and Sodano broke up earlier this year.

While fans wait to learn who the future Mrs. Carter will be, they will have to fill their time waiting for the release of I Am Not A Human Being II and Tha Carter V.
