Erika Girardi’s Husband Is Supportive Of Her Appearance On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 24

Erika Girardi’s husband, attorney Tom Girardi, hasn’t yet been seen in the audience at Dancing with the Stars, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t supportive of his wife’s new gig.

During a new interview, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made it clear that her husband is completely supportive of her dancing gig and of her reality career with Bravo.

“Tom’s been 100 percent supportive, just like he is for [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills],” Erika Girardi explained during an interview with the Daily Dish on April 4. “He does watch the show.”

As for their own ballroom activity, however, Erika Girard confirmed, “No, Tom and I don’t dance together.”

Erika Girardi joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during its sixth season as a friend of Yolanda Foster. At the time, Erika Girardi and her husband were seen together briefly, and at one point, they enjoyed a visit to Foster’s home and met with her family, including her now-ex-husband David Foster.

One year later, as Erika Girardi continued on with her Bravo career, Yolanda Foster announced she was leaving the show.

A short time later, Erika Girardi was announced as a competitor on the 24th season of Dancing with the Stars and paired with pro dancer Gleb Savchenko, who previously danced with her co-star and friend Lisa Vanderpump.

“Every day we get better as a team,” Erika Girardi said of Savchencko. “He has great ideas and he makes this one minute and fifteen seconds come to life. He creates a great story, so we enjoy it.”

As fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have seen, Erika Girardi is a performer and often showcases her alter-ego, Erika Jayne, on the show. That said, when it comes to dancing in the ballroom, things are much different.

“I think it’s helped [being a pop performer] because you’re definitely more comfortable than say others who haven’t,” she said. “But it’s still very different and it’s still very intimidating in the ballroom, for sure. I’m completely out of my comfort zone, just like Gleb was saying. This is something completely different and it is difficult. So while those things have helped, there’s still a lot to go through.”

As for her interaction with her fellow competitors, including Nancy Kerrigan, Heather Morris, Simone Biles, and Nick Viall, Erika Girardi said that everyone has been quite nice as they continue to go through the dancing process together.

“I mean everybody’s been really nice and as the weeks have gone on, we’ve kind of gotten to know them a little bit more,” she said. “I mean Charo is a complete and total character. But everybody’s cool and it’s really nice to see your friendship grow. It is a fun cast. Charo’s intense.”

While Erika Girardi’s scores have been high enough to keep her on the show, Charo and her dancing partner, Keo Motsepe, were eliminated during Week 2. Meanwhile, comedian Chris Kattan was the first celebrity to be voted off during Week 1.
