Daniel Craig License: 007 Can Now Legally Drive A Car In The United States

Daniel Craig recently applied for a driver’s license in the United States, according to the New York Post.

In order for James Bond to legally drive a car in the US, he had to apply for a license just like the rest of us. A month prior to the North American release of Skyfall,, Craig completed a driving school course in New York City.

Professional Driving School of the Americas office manager Richard Fernandez doesn’t care who you are: If you want a license to drive, you’ll have to play by the rules. As for Daniel Craig, Fernandez said the actor was an incredibly nice guy.

“His assistant requested a special class for Daniel by himself. No other students were there,” the office manager explained. “He was such a nice dude, so friendly.”

According to Yahoo! News, the actor had to watch videos on proper driving and sit through a few lectures about such important skills as parallel parking and driving in extreme weather conditions. Craig was also schooled in the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Once the Skyfall star had completed the course, he was subjected to a road test. Reports indicate that Craig passed all of the tests with flying colors. 007 is now street legal in the US.

According to Box Office Mojo, the latest James Bond adventure starring Daniel Craig continues to make a ton of money around the world. At present, the film’s domestic haul sits at $170 million. When combined with the picture’s foreign box office numbers, Skyfall has earned an impressive $678 million.

Not surprisingly, the film’s success has prompted producers to put the next installment into high gear. Although Skyfall writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have jumped ship, director Sam Mendes reportedly has a concept already in mind.

Now that Daniel Craig has his license, don’t be too surprised if you spot James Bond tooling around in your neck of the woods.
