Brad Pitt’s New Hobby Did Not Keep Him From Oscars

Brad Pitt, who is known for more than just his onscreen acting abilities, can add another talent to his list. The Allied star, who is behind production company Plan B, the same company which produced the film Moonlight, is also a bit of an artist.

Us Weekly has noted recently that Pitt has kept busy while he finds his way through his difficult divorce from Angelina Jolie, by working on a sculpture. The publication shares words of a source who states that Brad has been working for over 10 days on his work of art in a studio in L.A. owned by British sculptor Thomas Houseago.

There were even rumors that surfaced indicating that it was due to his immersion in his art that Pitt missed the Oscars. This, however, has been reported to be untrue. The publication notes the details.

“Contrary to reports, the architecture buff — whose company Plan B Entertainment produced Best Picture winner Moonlight — did not skip the 2017 Oscars due to his newfound sculpting hobby. ‘He did watch the Oscars with friends,’ [a source said.]”

The star has been keeping pretty low-profile since Angelina Jolie announced she was filing for divorce from the actor back in September. Pitt has made the odd appearance at a couple of charity events and did show up to the Golden Globes in a surprise appearance as a presenter. Brad was met with extended applause from the audience, likely as a demonstration as to how the dramatic split has not impacted his fans’ and peers’ appreciation for the talent.

Unfortunately, Brad and Angelina’s split news was followed by numerous reports and claims of abuse against the estranged couple’s six children by Pitt, following news of an incident on a private jet which resulted in the actor reportedly lunging at their 15-year-old son Maddox. An FBI investigation was then launched for which Brad has since been cleared.

The former couple finally agreed to seal court documents in January of this year to keep their family’s business and difficult time out of the tabloids and mainly as a means to protect their six children- Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

Jolie recently spoke about the challenging time she and Brad, along with their children, are experiencing, but noted that they are getting through it as a unit, stating, “It was a very difficult time and we are a family. And we’ll always be a family. And we’ll get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”

Despite the terrible circumstance that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have found themselves in the middle of, and the intentions of filmmaker Ian Halperin who is prepared to release a tell-all documentary about what really went wrong in their 12-year relationship, both Pitt and Jolie are carrying on in their careers and attempting to maintain a sense of normalcy.

Angelina Jolie has become the face for Guerlain and their latest fragrance. The ad was unveiled this past week within which Jolie looks breathtaking. Inquisitr recently reported about the campaign.

The beauty brand has described the ad and the new fragrance as one “for women who defy categorization, who embrace all that life brings and all sides of themselves, who are comfortable in their own skin and whose guiding spirit is to be true to themselves and to live a life of use to others.”

It is believed that the private jet incident occurred when Pitt, Jolie and the family were returning from the location at which the ad was shot back in September. It’s been speculated the 1-minute clip was filmed at the former couple’s chateau in France which they have since put on the market, as The Huffington Post relayed.
