No, Kristen Stewart Did Not Imply FKA Twigs Was ‘Superficial’ In New Interview

Kristen Stewart recently spoke about her views towards social media and some believed that it was a “shade” targeting Robert Pattinson’s fiancée, FKA Twigs, who loved to share her work online.

The Twilight actress graced the “Most Beautiful” issue of V Magazine in which she expressed displeasure towards social media addiction.

“You become addicted to that hit by yourself and with yourself, every seven minutes or so, and you end up wasting so much time just validating something very superficial in yourself. It has definitely changed us.”

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Kristen’s comments were about FKA, born Tahliah Barnett. The artist has a fondness for promoting her art on Instagram where she has more than a million followers. She has previously posted about her music and clothing line. As per CDL, Kristen thinks that people who constantly use social media have the yearning “to prove their worth.”

However, Gossip Cop debunked the report. The claims were reportedly unfounded. Just last month, the website also dismissed CDL’s tale that Kristen’s Saturday Night Live performance was a subtle attack on Robert.

CDL previously claimed as well that FKA and Kristen are having a “creative war.” The musician allegedly decided to work with Nike for its Spiral Zone Strength Tights campaign because Kristen was then working for an artistic project, Come Swim, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. FKA’s representatives have dismissed the report.

Kristen is aware that she cannot please everyone, but she has no problem with it. She told The Sunday Times that she tries her best not to be affected by what others say about her.

“It would take someone with a really unhealthy amount of ego to be upset that everyone doesn’t love them. It would be silly to say I don’t care what people think of my work and who I am, but stuff is polarising, period.”

She dated Robert after meeting him on the set of the vampire franchise where they worked together for six years. In 2012, she had a fling with her then-married Snow White and the Hunstman director, Rupert Sanders.

Die-hard fans resented Kristen for breaking the actor’s heart and for ruining “Robsten.” Things might look fancy but Kristen suffered from panic attacks that came with daily puking because of the pressure that came with being Bella. Nevertheless, she admitted that the whole Twilight experience contributed to her identity.

“I really never felt bogged down by Twilight. Every step turns you into the person you are, and yeah, [Twilight] shaped me enormously. Not just those movies, but the subsequent effect.”

The two have since moved on. While Robert has been in a relationship with FKA for several years now, Kristen is reportedly dating Victoria’s Secret runway model Stella Maxwell. The ladies have been photographed various times with Stella even dropping by the sets of Kristen’s latest films.

Last year, Kristen announced that her life changed for the better when she started going out with a woman. “It opened my life up and I’m so much happier,” she said that time.

She recalled what she went through while dating the Water for Elephants actor. Kristen despised how the public trivialized their romance and placed them into a “ridiculous comic book” because, at the end of the day, all she wanted was to protect what was hers.

She will next appear in Personal Shopper which opens on March 17. The film is a tale of an American personal shopper working in Paris who happens to have the uncanny ability to communicate with spirits.
