McKayla Maroney Is Not Impressed With Visiting White House, Neither Is Barack Obama

McKayla Maroney is not impressed with visiting the White House, and apparently Barack Obama is not that impressed with meeting Maroney.

The Olympic gold medalist, McKayla Maroney made a trip to the White House along with the rest of the women’s team, The Huffington Post noted.

Known for her gravity-defying vault stunts — and her “not impressed” face she made while on the podium for a silver medal she won — Maroney became one of the stars of the 2012 London Olympics and her picture a viral hit. The “McKayla Maroney not impressed” picture took on a life of its own, with Photoshops to show her lack of caring in a number of settings.

The Fierce Five — which also includes Gabby Douglas, Kyla Ross, Aly Raisman, and Jordyn Wieber — met with Obama and signed leotards for his daughters, Sasha and Malia, during the visit. The team had missed out on a visit to the White House with the rest of the U.S. Olympic team earlier because of their touring schedule, The Associated Press reported.

While all of the teammates have seen newfound fame after winning the first team gold for the U.S. women’s team since 1996, McKayla Maroney’s “not impressed” face seems to be the most popular. She’s made it on a number of visits, including a trip to the set of How I Met Your Mother.

McKayla Maroney dropped a hint on Twitter about making the not impressed face again, telling her followers: “Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President..?”

A picture of McKayla Maroney making the not impressed face with Barack Obama later turned up thanks to White House photographer Pete Souza. Apparently, winning a gold medal and re-election makes it hard to impress either of these two.
