‘Borderlands 2’ Getting Second Story DLC Next Week

Not long after Gearbox Software released the first expansion for Borderlands 2, titled Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, the developer is already prepping to release yet another story DLC.

On Friday, Gearbox confirmed that Borderlands 2‘s second DLC, titled Mr. Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage, will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 next week. The DLC was outed several days back when a trophy list surfaced on the web.

Here’s more info on the DLC, courtesy of Gearbox:

“This story-driven expansion challenges players to conquer all that the titular Mr. Torgue has waiting in his newly-constructed Badass Crater of Badassitude, complete with a new storyline, new areas and environments, new bosses, new guns, new character customizations and more. In addition, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage features appearances from fan-favorite characters like Tiny Tina and Mad Moxxi!”

A report from IGN says that, as was the case with the previous DLC, all re-used enemies will be re-skinned to match with the theme of the DLC. There will of course be new enemies to shoot and loot as well, including new bosses such as the mechanical Badassaurus Rex.

The report goes on to say that the length of Borderlands 2‘s Mr. Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage DLC will roughly be about the same as Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty.

The DLC will go for $9.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points), and will be released on all three platforms on November 20.

Mr. Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage is the second of four planned Borderlands 2 expansions. Gearbox says that more DLC beyond that is in the works but there are no details on what that might be.
