Two days after becoming a first-time mother, Tamera Mowry shared the first picture of her son, Aden John Tanner Housely, on Twitter Wednesday.
Writing in the voice of her newborn son, Mowry said, “Chillin with my grandma Darlene today! She hooked me up with a cool outfit.”
Just a couple of weeks before she gave birth, Mowry said she felt like she had been pregnant forever and couldn’t wait to have her baby.
Mowry’s husband, Fox News correspondent Adam Housely, explained why the couple chose to give their son two middle names.
“A for me. T for Tamera,” 40-year-old Housely said. “John [is both] our fathers’ middle name.”
Actress Sara Rue, who is pregnant with her first child, congratulated the couple on Twitter.
“I’m so happy for you. Congrats. He is beautiful,” Rue wrote. “Play date in a few months?”
Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown wrote, “He is perfect! Congrats to you and Adam!”
The 34-year-old Sister, Sister star thanked her fans “for all the love and well wishes.”
“Adam and I are very overjoyed with love and feel so blessed,” she said. “Being a new mommy rocks!”
Tia Mowry, who welcomed son Cree Hardrict in June 2011, said she “couldn’t be happier” for her twin sister.
“I am so thrilled and happy to be an auntie,” Mowry told Us Weekly. “I now know the love that my sister has for Cree, it is overflowing.”
Mowry added, “I’ve kissed her new bundle of joy at least one hundred times!”
Aden John Tanner Housely was born Monday, November 12, 2012 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces.
