‘RoboCop’ Remake: New Suit Image Surfaces Online [Photo]

Images of a new suit from the forthcoming RoboCop remake have surfaced online, according to the folks at Worst Previews.

The script for the film that was leaked not too long ago suggested that there was more than one suit being used over the course of the story. Thanks to a savvy Twitter user armed with a camera, the world now has an opportunity to glimpse the character’s alternative look.

The next few paragraphs may contain spoilers, so tread with caution if you’re interested in knowing as little as possible about the film before it hits theaters.

The outfit you see in the embedded image is reportedly the one star Joel Kinnaman will wear throughout the majority of the RoboCop remake. Since nothing about the suit has been confirmed on an official level, fans might want to take all of this information lightly.

The official plot synopsis for the reboot reads as follows:

“The year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilises their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.”

The Inquisitr reported last month that MGM’s faith in the project was shaken after fan reaction to the suit started making the rounds online. Many believe the backlash prompted the studio to move the film’s release date from August of 2013 to February of 2014.
