Make your own margarita

If you’re not into going out, just make your own margarita.

Ingredients for a classic margarita:

  • One to one-half ounces of silver tequila
  • One ounce orange liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • One-half ounce fresh lime juice
  • A splash of simple syrup
  • Coarse salt
  • One fresh mint leaf

Directions:

Combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake until cold and strain into a chilled, salt-rimmed rocks glass. Garnish with mint leaf and serve.
