Carmen Electra’s New Song Debuts After 20-Year Singing Hiatus

Carmen Electra’s new song debuted this week, marking the end of a 20-year hiatus from singing for the actress.

It was back in the early 1990s that Carmen Electra last put out a new song, and the model-actress is now back with a dance jam called “I Like It Loud.” As omg from Yahoo! reported, Carmen Electra always envisioned getting back into music during her time acting and modeling.

“I’ve had this passion to get back into music,” she tells omg!. “I feel very lucky because I’ve been able to do so many other things, and I love that. I need a variety in my life and my career. It’s never boring. It’s been challenging at times, but it’s also been such an amazing ride. Deep down inside, throughout everything, I just still have this passion.”

The 40-year-old Carmen Electra’s new song comes from Grammy-nominated producer Bill Hamel, who has worked with other pop icons like Madonna, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.

Carmen Electra’s new song could lead to more music from the actress. Electra, who is rumored to be dating Simon Cowell, noted that she had so much fun making the track and working with Hamel that she’s now thinking about recording an entire album.

Perez Hilton gave readers a preview of Carmen Electra’s new song, noting that she seems to have done a good job adapting to the newest style. After all, it was 1993 back when Electra released her last music, though the pounding beats and club rocking sounds of the early 90s have been making a comeback.
