Broadwell book mistake

Paula Broadwell Petraeus Biography: TV Station Apologizes For Photoshopped Book Cover [Video]

A Denver television station has egg on its face because it ran with an obviously doctored cover image of Paula Broadwell’s biography of General David Petraeus, the former CIA director, with whom she was having an extramarital affair.

The actual name of the book is All In: The Education of General David Petraeus but what viewers of ABC Channel 7 in Denver, an ABC affiliate, saw on their screens was something quite different (see image above).

The station issued an apology for the error which said in part …

“7NEWS sincerely apologizes for a mistake that we aired in our broadcast Monday, a mistake that has gone viral on the internet …

“During the broadcast, 7NEWS showed an image of Broadwell’s biography of Petraeus that is called, “All In: The Education of General David Petraeus.”

“However, when the 7NEWS reporter went on the Internet to get an image of the book cover, the reporter mistakenly grabbed a Photoshopped image that said, “All Up In My Snatch.”

” ‘It was a mistake,’ said KMGH-TV News Director Jeff Harris.”

According to the statement, an editor at the station pulled the image from from an internet search without somehow realizing that it was a photoshopped prank and not the real title and cover of Broadwell’s Petraeus biography.

Here is a video clip of the original Channel 7 news broadcast with the incorrect book cover graphic of Paula Broadwell’s biography of David Petraeus:

Do you find the television’s station explanation plausible or do you think it might have been an inside job?
