12 Injured In School Bus Crash On New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway


New Jersey State Police report that at least 12 people have been injured in a school bus crash on the Garden State Parkway. The crash occurred at about 3:30 pm EST at mile marker 34 in Egg Harbor Township.

According to officials, the school bus was carrying students from Charter-Tech High School for the Performing Arts in Somers Point. The bus went off the road and crashed into a tree. No other vehicles were believed to be involved in the accident.

Images from the scene show a line of emergency vehicles and ambulances to assist the injured. Passengers were seen being moved from the bus on stretchers and taken to the waiting ambulances.

At present, it is known that six students were taken to Shore Memorial Hospital and six were transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus. The police stated that all the students injuries were minor. Names and ages of the injured have not been released, and officials are working to notify their families.

The cause of the crash is still unknown and police are investigating at the scene. The Inquisitr will update when more information about the crash is available.
