Fever Rises Into First WNBA Finals: Shock Detroit In Semis

Indianapolis, IN (AHN) – Tammy Sutton-Brown posted 17 points, as the Indiana Fever defied the odds and the Detroit Shock 72-67 Saturday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.
The Fever have battled the defending champions for the last three postseasons, but never could get past the Shock.
It will be Indiana’s first trip to the WNBA finals. They will play the best-of-five games on the road Tuesday against the Phoenix Mercury.
Fever’s Ebony Hoffman added 10 points in the contest. Catchings had five assists, eight rebounds and scored 10 points for the East’s top seed.
Indiana drained 16 free throws during the fourth quarter for the edge.
Deanna Nolan led Detroit with 16 points.
