Charisma Carpenter Family Drama ‘Heaven’s Door’ Headed To DVD [Video]

Charisma Carpenter and Dean Cain experience a few cinematic miracles in writer-director Craig Clyde’s family drama Heaven’s Door. The film is slated to arrive on DVD later this month.

The Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum stars as Julie in the upcoming film. Lois & Clark star Dean Cain, who just wrapped production on the TV movie The Dog Who Saved the Holidays, tackles the role of Leo.

Movie Web describes the film as follows:

“Riley, a young girl in a small town, makes an unexpected discovery-a doorway to heaven, which leads to miraculous healing powers. She hides her gift at first as her parents struggle with a separation, and her mother continues to lose her faith. Riley is soon faced with the ultimate sacrifice … will it change her mother’s mind and bring the family back together?”

Heaven’s Door director Craig Clyde has made a career out of directing family-oriented motion pictures. The filmmaker is also responsible for crafting A Christmas Wish with Kristy Swanson, The Derby Stallion starring Zac Efron, and the David Coulier direct-to-video movie The Family Holiday.

Clyde has also appeared in such movies as the 2002 holiday flick I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Truth or Consequences, N.M., and the TV movie Perfect Murder, Perfect Town: JonBenét and the City of Boulder.

Charisma Carpenter never seems to stop working. The actress has appeared in numerous episodes of Greek, Veronica Mars, and, more recently, The Lying Game. The ABC Family series tells the story of a foster child who discovers that she has an very wealthy identical twin sister. It doesn’t take very long for all sorts of drama to pay a visit.

Fans of Charisma Carpenter and Dean Cain can catch the pair in Heaven’s Door when the movie hits DVD and VOD on November 27. A trailer for the film has been embedded below.
