Human Barbie Doll, Valeria Lukyanova, Poses For V Magazine
When photos of the Human Barbie surfaced on the internet earlier this year many people thought that it was a hoax. How could someone look so perfectly plastic? Well, V Magazine published an interview with the model today proving that Valeria Lukyanova is a real-life Barbie Doll.
V Magazine writes: ”The truth is that Valeria is very much real.”
The Human Barbie doll may be real but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t live in a fantasy world. Well, let’s just say that Lukyanova has some interesting habits.
For one, she’s a self-professed practitioner of “astral projection,” or out-of-body travel. But Lukyanova isn’t just a believer of out-of-body travel, she’s a teacher.
The Human Barbie doll says:
“I’m a teacher at the School of Out-of-Body Travel. It’s an international school in which our instructors show students how to leave their physical body and travel in their spiritual body, where you can visit any place on the planet and in the universe. I know that this is the future of mankind and that it has huge potential.”
In addition to being an out-of-body world traveler, Lukyanova is also a model, an artist, and a singer.
Lukyanova said:
“I have written most of my songs during my astral travels or during meditation. This is also how I collaborate with other composers of new age music. They inspire me. My genre is new age opera. Sometimes I can write a piece in one breath, in as little as five minutes.”
Lukyanova has received world-wide media attention for her appearance but the Human Barbie doll does not believe that her looks are the only reason for her fame.
Lukyanova said:
“People don’t understand that it has nothing to do with looks. There are many good-looking young women, but why are they completely unknown? Because looks are just a bonus. If you spend time working only on your appearance and you forget about your inner self, people will not be interested in you because they will not feel anything. Many people think you need only good looks to be successful, but it’s not true—only spiritual work can bear tangible results.”
Valeria Lukyanova also denies that she’s had plastic surgery to achieve her look. According to the Human Barbie Doll, she has not had surgery and does not enhance her image with photo editing.
Lukyanova said:
“Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves. It’s hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. It’s how they explain their continued inaction. It’s just an excuse. There are plenty of video clips on the Internet showing what I really look like. Some people even spread rumors about me and retouch my pictures to hurt me. But I don’t take them seriously. I’m even flattered! It’s what success is like. I’m happy I seem unreal to them, it means I’m doing a good job.”

Anyone believing themselves to be perfect needs a reality check. Also, she may be a "REAL person with REAL feelings and all" but she is going to inspire an entire generation of little girls and young women to do unhealthy things to look more "perfect". First off, you can choose to believe she's had surgery, though she outright denies it, that's on you, HOWEVER, the issue about little girls trying to be like this and hurting themselves, means their parents are seriously NOT doing their duty in educating their children. It's unlikely/unrealistic that they can achieve this outcome (and the fact that they want to) may mean some underlying mental illness. How the hell is she pushing this on ANYBODY???? She's gorgeous without the makeup, Yeah, it looks drastic and she might have had her nose done, but a majority of what you're seeing is really heavy makeup and photoshop. She's not hurting anyone, and she identifies herself as an artist and musician. She's playing a role, much like dozens of other artists, models, and musicians – if you're putting her down because she might 'influence future generations to starve and harm themselves'. Obviously stick thin and perfect isn't a good image or influence, but you can't blame one person alone. Parents need to be there to reinforce and build their children's self-esteem up like a parent should rather than expect the media and entertainment world to babysit them. That's their responsibility. You want to be the person you are, so let her be the person she wants to be if it makes her happy.
