Lindsay Lohan Cancels ’20/20′ Barbara Walters Interview

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly cancelled her upcoming interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20, according to the folks at TMZ.

The Liz & Dick star was supposed to sit down with Walters this week. However, it would seem the actress’ new PR team isn’t too crazy about the idea of Lohan discussing her recent car crash on television. As a result, Lohan pulled out of the interview at the last second.

Sources told the website that Barbara Walters was very forthcoming about her desire to delve into Lohan’s personal life. Since the actress’ legal woes are starting to warm up, public relations gurus Rogers & Cowan decided Lohan probably shouldn’t talk about her New York City automobile accident.

Lohan is rumored to be upset about having to cancel on Barbara Walters. The actress hopes she can reschedule the interview at some point in the near future.

Towards the end of October, Lindsay Lohan’s publicist Steve Honig decided he’d had enough of the never-ending drama that tends to follow the actress around on a regular basis. After two years of employment, Honig called it quits.

Just a few days ago, The Inquisitr reported that Lindsay could find herself behind bars for lying to police. After clipping a pedestrian with her car in New York City, Lohan reportedly told authorities that she wasn’t the one operating the vehicle at the time. Numerous witnesses have since stated otherwise.

TMZ states Lohan’s lies to police could get her slapped with obstruction of justice charges. The actress is particularly concerned about the situation because she’s currently on probation for charges stemming from a jewelry theft last year.

Producers of 20/20 and Barbara Walters have yet to comment on Lindsay Lohan’s cancellation. Are you surprised that the Mean Girls actress decided to back out of her interview at the last second?
