Black Friday 2012: The Best Deals On Crafting Supplies

Black Friday 2012 ads offer deals not just on ready-made commercial items but on crafting supplies as well. Millions of handy holiday shoppers flock to Michael’s, JoAnn Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby each year to scoop up awesome deals on supplies. Homemade and repurposed gifts are often made at a fraction of the cost of items found at big-box stores.

Michael’s Black Friday sale begins on Thanksgiving Day. After an enjoyable meal, artisans and crafters can venture to their local Michael’s and receive 30 percent off their entire purchase. Sale items are included in the 4 pm to 11 pm Thanksgiving Day sale, but there may be some exclusions to the offer.

Thursday doorbusters include 50 percent off Michael’s entire stock of 6-foot and taller Christmas trees. The money saved when purchasing an artificial tree during the pre-Black Friday sale allows holiday shoppers to toss some ornament-making supplies into their cart.

On Black Friday 2012, the crafting supplies retailer is offering 25 percent off an entire purchase from 7 am to noon. On Saturday, Michael’s is promoting the same discount from 8 am to noon, according to TheBlackFriday.com website.

JoAnn Fabrics has not yet released its Black Friday ad this year. If the craft store offers similar deals as last year, the doors will open at 6 am at more locations. The 2011 ad included coupons for 20 percent of an entire purchase and 50 percent off any one regularly priced item, according to the TGIBlackFriday.com website.

Hobby Lobby will also reportedly be offering Black Friday doorbusters and special deals the day after Thanksgiving, according to the CheapoLife website.
