Exclusive photos from the Flight 1549 water landing, often called the “Miracle on the Hudson,” will go on display at an art gallery in New York City.

Running until Oct. 11, photos from Stephen Mallon will be on display at The Front Room Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. The show, “Brace For Impact: the aftermath of flight 1549,” offers an unseen, up close look at the plane crash that captivated a nation.

With total access to the accident scene, Mallon captured photos “standing on the deck of the crane-barge” used in the recovery. Standing out in freezing winter weather, Mallon collected two weeks works of photos.

The work details the crash, rescue, recovery and inspection of the plane by federal crash experts.
