Breaking the Tradition of Whirlwind Romance

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are in fact engaged, and that makes for some potentially hot babies in the future (see above for proof). After watching grueling celeb specials on “10 Celebrity Marriage Mistakes” and the like, there’s one resounding message via Hollywood: rushing things can be a Big Mistake.

That is why Scarlett’s engagement couldn’t be better. She’s been dating Ryan Reynolds for over a year, which is equivalent to much more on the tinseltown timeline, and maybe they’re actually built to last. Even Scarlett’s rep is gushing about the whole thing, confirming that “They’re both thrilled.”

Perhaps Mariah Carey could’ve taken a page from their book.
