Kris Jenner Turns 57, Could Have Big Year Ahead

Kris Jenner, the mom to reality television’s most famous family, is turning 57.

As The Huffington Post notes, the “momager” of the Kardashians/Jenners is known for keeping track of her large family while making headlines of her own.

This year along the proud mother has seen her family branch out, going beyond the confines of their reality show to enter new areas of entertainment. The most famous of these is daughter Khloe Kardashian, who took a job as host of Fox’s X Factor.

While the role is seen as a major step for Khloe as she tries to move past her reality show world and into other venues, it was mom Kris Jenner who helped set up the deal. Kris reportedly took an aggressive stance in the negotiation process, especially when it appeared that X Factor executives were about to choose Mario Lopez over her.

Kris Jenner’s hardball stance paid off, as Khloe was selected as a co-host along with Lopez and has debuted to strong reviews in the show so far. Her first episode brought some of the best ratings the show has seen, allowing it to win its time slot last week.

Kris Jenner’s 58th year could also be a breakout one for her. She has reportedly been considered to host a daytime talk show, with a run reportedly being eyed for summer 2013.

Kris Jenner has also turned herself into something of a media spokesperson this year, sounding off on what she sees as the “exploitative” Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and even reportedly sought out the Honey Boo Boo family to represent them.
