Joe Simpson Denies Gay Rumors
Joe Simpson is not gay. Rumors have been circulating about Simpson’s sexuality for the last month but the 54-year-old father of Jessica Simpson said today that he was not gay.
According to TMZ, Simpson told his friends and family today that the stories about his gay lover, 21-year-old model Bryce Chandler Hill, were “ridiculous.” Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, who said that he’s been emailing with Simpson for the past few days, also said that the rumors were not true.
The rumors started earlier this year when Joe and Tina Simpson announced that they were getting a divorce after 34-years. Radar Online published a story claiming that the divorce stemmed from an affair that Joe was having with a young male model.
Hill seemingly denied the story on Twitter, writing: “Yes, I’ve read the story….it’s simply NOT TRUE.”
Tina also said that the rumor that her husband cheated on her with a younger man was false.
Tina told People Magazine:
“It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time.”
Still, the Joe Simpson rumors continue. Zap 2 It reports that a second man has come forward claiming that he had a sexual relationship with Simpson. Joey Anderson, a 32-year-old escort, said that he was paid $600 to have sex with Simpson.

Who cares whether he is or is not gay? What a stupid and boring topic. The more he denies it, the more he seems to be homophobic or hiding in the closet. He should simply ignore these stupid and ignorant rumors instead of feeding them with over-exaggerated reactions, which will only undermine his intentions. So he's getting a divorce. Not the first time anyone has ever gotten a divorce. All marriages end. Most end in divorce, some peaceful and some bitter. Other marriages last for longer, but eventually end with the death of one of the couple. Sad but it's life. better to have loved and lost than never to have loved.

Sometimes divorce happens when two people are mature and honest enough with themselves and each other to acknowledge that they appreciate all of the memories they've built together but would be happier going forward on their own. that takes courage, and is nobody;s business but the couple involved. Every relationship is unique, and so nobody is truly qualified to comment on other people's relationships.

Joe was one of my college professors before Jessica was famous. I don't think it's true, but I don't think it's impossible.

Have you seen pictures of him with the guy? I have I think its true..and i don't care either way but i hate that if he is he is lying about it…not good for todays teens, that sends a bad message. I thought the reason he got a divorce if b/c he is gay.

I haven't. I just searched and couldn't find any photos of them together that weren't photoshoped. So far it's just gossip that everyone involved is denying. He was one of the best psychology professors I ever had. That was back when he was a pastor, so his life is very different now. He fits a lot of gay stereotypes, but most of my gay friends don't fit any. If he says he is, love him. If he says he isn't love him.

I agree love him either way..but if he is lying it sends a bad message to teens that are on the fence about "coming out" b/c he is showing them it is shameful to be gay… Has he said why he got a divorce?

Melissa, Tina says it's private and no third parties were involved.
Vanessa, I had him for two classes, both about counseling teens. He has a remarkable understanding of the psychology of teens. I think he deserves a lot of credit for his kids early successes.
