Beverley Mitchell Pregnant: Former ‘7th Heaven’ Star Expecting First Child

Congratulations are in order for Secret Life of the American Teenager actress Beverley Mitchell.

According to People magazine, the 31-year-old actress, perhaps best known for her role as Lucy Camden on the WB/CW series 7th Heaven, is expecting her first child with her husband Michael Cameron.

Speaking about her pregnancy to the mag, Mitchell, who is reportedly due in April, admitted she became aware of the impending arrival when her sense of smell became heightened.

“My sense of smell was off the charts,” she explained. “To the point where I could smell a kid’s dirty diaper from the other side of a restaurant. I was like, ‘No, it can’t be that.’ ”

Despite the newly acquired super-sniffer, Beverly revealed she still had a hard time accepting the fact that she really was pregnant.

“I took seven pregnancy tests, I went to the doctor and had two more tests and they were like, ‘Bev, usually when the first one comes out positive, the rest of them will all say the same thing.’ “

After confirming the good news, Mitchell says one of the first people she told was her former on-screen big sister, Jessica Biel.

“Jess was one of the first to know [the baby news]. I started crying,” says Mitchell. “It was really exciting to share that with Auntie Jess.”

Beverly Mitchell, however, isn’t the only celebrity with baby news this month. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard recently announced that they’re expecting their first child together as well.
