Shakira Album Gets Pushed Back

Miami, FL (CNS) – The howling, panting Shakira scored a Billboard Latin #1 with the Spanish version of “She Wolf,” “Loba,” while the English version failed to crack the Hot 100’s top 10. But now it’ll be a while before the “She Wolf” album is unleashed. It’s been pushed back over a month to November 17th.
The album was originally scheduled to be released on October 13th. Shakira, who recently performed the title track on “America’s Got Talent,” is prepping the release of the album’s second single. The Neptunes-produced “Did it Again” is slated as the follow-up to “She Wolf.”
The album features four Neptunes productions, plus a re-teaming with “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker and collaborator Wyclef Jean, who appears on the track “Spy.” “She Wolf” producer John Hill also helms two other album cuts, “Men in This Town” and “Mon Amour.”
“It’s very electronic and dance-oriented, club-oriented. It’s designed for people to have fun and enjoy themselves and forget about their troubles and the crisis,” Shakira told Rolling Stone in an interview.
The “She Wolf” will have some serious competition to feast on that week as well. The November 17th release date is also home to new releases from Leona Lewis, “American Idol” winner Kris Allen, Norah Jones, and more.
