Girl Meets World? ‘Boy Meets World’ Reboot Being Developed By Disney

Star Wars isn’t the only franchise that Disney is resurrecting. The hit 90s show Boy Meets World could soon get a sequel series called Girl Meets World.

According to Seattle Pi, Disney is currently talking to Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who starred in the original series as Cory Mathews and Topanga, to star in the new show. Girl Meets World will focus on the couple’s pre-teen daughter.

It’s not clear if the show will feature an uncle Shawn (Rider Strong), an uncle Eric (Will Friedle), or if Cory and Topanga’s daughter will be taught by Mr. Feeney (William Daniels).

The show is still in the development phase. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel haven’t officially signed on for the new show but Disney has reportedly started the casting process for the couple’s daughter.

Do you want to see Corey and Topanga back on TV? Do you think Girl Meets World is a good idea?

Disney isn’t the only station looking to resurrect past hits. CBS is currently developing a Beverly Hills Cop show with Eddie Murphy and TNT has already seen success with Dallas.
