Royal Guard Fires Gun Accidentally Outside Royal Home

A royal guard accidentally fired his gun outside of the royal home where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate Middleton) were staying.

According to Hello Magazine, the royal guard was sitting in his car when he accidentally fired his gun. The bullet hit the floor of the car. No one was injured in the incident.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement:

”Shortly before 1pm on Wednesday October 24, an on-duty MPS police officer unintentionally discharged a firearm while in an unmarked police vehicle… The round damaged the floor of the vehicle. Another on-duty officer was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Neither officer was injured. The officers were on duty in north Wales at the time.”

It’s unclear if the Duke and the Duchess were at their home at the time of the incident. Scotland Yard is currently investigating the accidental gunshot.

According to Entertainment Wise, the gun mishap isn’t the only exciting thing to happen this week for the royal couple. French police believe that they have uncovered the identity of the photographer who took topless photos of Kate Middleton during their vacation last September.

A source said:

“A name has been offered. The photographer is expected to be held for questioned imminently.” If found guilty, the perpetrator faces a £36,000 fine and up to a year in jail.”
