Angelina Jolie Reportedly Agrees To Seal Custody Documents, But Insists Brad Pitt Is The Bad Guy

Angelina Jolie has agreed to seal her custody case with Brad Pitt.

Following months of public back and forth, a report claims Angelina Jolie is on board with keeping future proceedings private, but she’s also going after Brad Pitt by claiming that if their children were at all damaged by their relationship and split, it’s completely his fault.

On January 4, TMZ shared details of Angelina Jolie’s latest legal filing, in which she claimed to agree that her private business with Pitt should be kept between them — but also noted that it was reckless of Pitt to accuse her of airing their custody proceedings publicly. As the actress explained in the documents filed by attorney Laura Wasser, Pitt is lashing out at her because he’s “terrified that the public will learn the truth.”

Weeks ago, Angelina Jolie was targeted in a legal filing by Pitt, which slammed the actress for filing unsealed documents in an attempt to keep him from changing their current custody arrangement. Now, however, she claims Pitt is trying to “deflect from [his] own role in the media storm which has engulfed the parties’ children.”

“There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into [the] allegation of abuse,” Angelina Jolie reportedly continued in her court documents.

Angelina Jolie initially filed documents to end her marriage on September 19 and requested she be given full physical custody of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

A short time later, TMZ shared details from her filing and revealed that Angelina Jolie had allegedly taken aim at Pitt by calling him out for drug use and a potential anger problem.

“[Angelina Jolie]’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children… she was extremely upset with his methods,” the outlet explained to readers in September. “Angelina became ‘fed up’ with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is ‘an anger problem’… felt it became dangerous for the children.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are currently at war and judging by the happenings of recent weeks, that won’t soon change. In fact, one report claims there is so much hostility between Angelina Jolie and her estranged husband that the former couple has not seen one another since they parted ways months ago.

“[Brad Pitt] and [Angelina Jolie] have not seen each other since their breakup, especially not over the holidays,” a source told Hollywood Life last week. “Brad has no problem seeing or dealing with his ex and thinks it is a bit ridiculous that she refuses to even see him when handing off their kids for visits. [During] the minimal visitations Brad has had with the children, nannies, bodyguards and other assistants have moved the children between the parents.”

The insider went on to reveal that despite Pitt allegedly being open to the idea of communicating with Angelina Jolie directly, Jolie is now in war-mode and not at all open to talking to Pitt in any way.

“[Angelina Jolie] is still in war-mode over custody and their divorce, so the last thing she wants is to see Brad or get into any face-to-face confrontation with her ex,” the source continued. “She is avoiding Brad at all costs and will not text, call or communicate with him except through lawyers and staff.”
