Russell Brand Sued For Allegedly Hitting Man With Car


Los Angeles, CA – Russell Brand is being sued for negligence.

According to Today, the suit was filed by a man who claims that the Get Him to the Greek actor hit him with his car while driving down L.A.’s Olympic Boulevard. This allegedly happened back on January 16 of this year.

According to documents obtained by E! News, Victor Sneed states that the 37-year-old comedian drove his car so that it collided with Sneed. Sneed continued to state that the accident has caused him personal injury and property damage.

According to the suit papers which were filed yesterday, Sneed has suffered loss of wages due to the injuries that he sustained in the alleged incident. In addition to the loss of wages, he has also incurred hospital and medical expenses as well as legal fees.

Sneed is seeking over $25,000 in compensatory damages from Brand in the recent lawsuit.

Brand’s representative has yet to comment on the situation.

According to News.com, this is not the first of Brands’ legal woes. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star turned himself into police this March after a warrant was issued for the star’s arrest.

Brand had a warrant for his arrest for allegedly snatching an iPhone from a photographer and then throwing it through a window while walking down a street in New Orleans.

Brand plead not guilty to the misdemeanour criminal damage.

In that encounter with the law, Brand was ordered to pay $500 in court fees. He was also ordered to perform 20 hours of community service.
