Kyle Richards Is In Puppy Love: Watch The ‘RHOBH’ Star’s Emotional Reaction To Her Early Christmas Gift

Kyle Richards is celebrating Christmas early. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a video of her daughters giving her an early Christmas present: An adorable puppy. The precious pup is half Newfoundland and half Saint Bernard, and in the video, which was posted to Kyle’s Instagram page, the emotional Real Housewives star is seen freaking out over the too-cute gift.

Kyle Richards has not yet revealed the name of the new addition to her family. Kyle teased that her four daughters and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, could not agree on a name for their new pet. Richards dished that some of the family’s name ideas include Bear, Boots, Kona, Cleo, and Harlow. Kyle also posted a close up photo of the puppy and gave a shout out to Spot Rescue Dogs, the rescue organization that her family adopted her from. Richards promised to “love and cherish” the dog.

While Kyle Richards appeared to be shocked by her early Christmas gift, she may have had a hand in picking out the breed. In an interview posted on Bravo.com, Kyle revealed that she recently told her husband all she wanted for Christmas was a puppy. In the video, Richards said she is constantly stalking the dog rescue websites and that as soon as she found the puppy she wanted she planned to send a picture of it to her husband.

Longtime Real Housewives fans already know that Kyle Richards is an avid dog lover. While co-star Lisa Vanderpump is seen toting her dog Giggy, all over town, Kyle also has a bit of a menagerie living in her Beverly Hills home. In addition to her new pup, Richards is a proud mama to a Golden Retriever named Bambi, a German Shepherd named River, a Yorkiepoo named Khloe, and a Pomeranian named Romeo. In the Bravo video, Richards describes Romeo as her mischievous, “problem child,” and she also revealed that her Pomeranian doesn’t hang out with pal Lisa Vanderpump’s Giggy because he is a homebody. In fact, Kyle says all of her pets are homebodies and that they are very “co-dependent on one another.”

Last month, Richards posted a cute Instagram video that showed her Yorkiepoo’s trick for keeping her at home. In the clip, the dog has herself perched inside Kyle’s pricey handbag.

“This is what Khloe does when she doesn’t want me to go out to dinner, ” Kyle revealed. Now, Kyle will have her hands full even more.

Kyle Richards’ new dog joins her family exactly three years after her beloved dog, Roxy, passed away. On December 23, 2013, Richards announced to fans that the dog they had seen interact with her family in many scenes on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, had died.

“Today, our beautiful sweet dog Roxy passed away,” Kyle captioned a pic. “She’s been with us for 12 years. Heartbroken but grateful for the time we had with her. We [love you] Roxy.”

Kyle also posted a picture of youngest daughter Portia snuggling on the couch with Roxy. Three years after losing her beloved dog, Kyle is having a much better Christmas as she welcomes a new puppy into her life.

Of course, while she is clearly in love with her newest family member, Kyle did reveal there is one downside to being a new dog owner.

“I forgot about waking up in the middle of the night to take a puppy out,” Richards tweeted to her 1.14 million followers.
