‘Go Back To Wherever The F*** You Came From!’: Jefferson Mall Shopper’s Racist Rant Goes Viral
A female shopper at a Louisville clothing retailer was filmed racially berating another woman for allegedly skipping in line.
In footage from the incident, which the Daily Mail says was made public on Tuesday, an elderly white customer at J.C. Penney inside of Kentucky’s Jefferson Mall is witnessed ranting at a Hispanic woman standing in front of her.
According to Renee Bucker, the fellow shopper who recorded the interaction and posted it to her Facebook, an associate of the Spanish-speaking shopper brought up more clothes to add to the transaction, instead of moving to the back of the line, which set the old woman off.

“It starts back there,” the Caucasian woman claims, referring to the end of the line. “It don’t bother me if I say it, and I hope everybody hears me. I think everybody here probably feels the same damn way I do.”
After thanking someone out of lens range, the Jefferson Mall shopper suddenly gets racial.
“Go back to wherever the f*** you come from, lady.”
At this point, the cashier, who also appears to be of Latin origin, intercedes and tells the woman to watch her tongue.
“Tell them to go back to where they belong,” she fires back.
“[If] they come here to live, then [they should] act like everybody else. Get in the back of the line like everybody else does!”
As other Jefferson Mall patrons turn their eyes away in embarrassment, the woman continues on ranting, expressing that it’s “just the way [she] looks at it.”
“You’re a nobody,” she spews to the Hispanic women ahead of her. “Just because you come from another country, it doesn’t make you nobody. You’re probably on welfare. The taxpayers probably paid for all that stuff.”
“We probably paid for every bit of that stuff,” she goes on, looking around the store for others to agree with her.
“You know that? [We] probably [paid] all of the food they get and everything else.”
After taking in the woman’s ignorant diatribe for several moments, one of her victims turns her head and responds with a meaningful, “I’m sorry.”
“That’s okay,” the older customer states.
“Speak English [though], you’re in America. If you don’t know it, learn it!”
The video and interaction seem to end with an apology of sorts from the elderly woman.
“And I’m sorry that I’m that way,” she relays, “but y’all need to realize you’re not the only ones around here.”
In response to the clip, which has since gone viral and has been viewed about 5 million times, officials for the Jefferson Mall claim that they are doing what they can to uncover the condemning consumer’s identity. Once that’s done, they say that they will permanently bar her from ever stepping foot inside of the J.C Penney, or any other store located inside of the building.

“We are aware of the video posted online today from one of the department stores,” a statement from the shopping complex’s official Facebook reads. “Jefferson Mall strives to create a comfortable and convenient experience for all of our guests and we absolutely do not condone this type of behavior.”
“We will work to identify this woman, and once identified, she will be permanently banned from Jefferson Mall, per our Behavioral Code of Conduct.”
In addition, WDRB notes that Mayor Greg Fischer of Louisville has reached out to the two Latina women who were verbally assaulted by the Jefferson Mall shopper, and apologized for her actions.
“I am sad and disappointed to see conduct like this,” his statement begins, “when one person so dehumanizes another human being. This is not who we are, and on behalf of our community, I apologize to the two women who were treated in such a horrible way.”
Like the identity of the elder woman, the two other Jefferson Mall shoppers’ names are unknown at this time.
