Tom Cruise Discusses Plans For ‘Mission Impossible 5’

Tom Cruise has been discussing his plans for the latest instalment to the Mission: Impossible series which will be the fifth edition to the franchise.

Cruise has been playing the role of Ethan Hunt since 1996 and has continued to frequently star in and produce new films revolving around the classic television series, with the latest Mission:Impossible Ghost Protocol coming out in December last year.

Speaking to Total Film he stated that he wanted to “make a bunch” of movies over the next few season and will continue to make them for as long as people want to see them.

“I started Mission:Impossible hoping I could make many of them. It’s a character that I can grow with. At that time it was the most expensive film in the history of Paramount Pictures, and the first film I was producing,” stated Cruise.

“It’s pretty exciting,” added the Jack Reacher actor, “I’ll make a bunch of those. I’ll make as many as people want to see … because they’re very challenging, and so much fun to make.”

He also went on to add that they are currently discussing different concepts and images around the movie revealing, “I love travelling around promoting different movies because I’m always looking at different places, and I always walk around to see the city. I look at architecture, subways … coming up with different sequences.”

Cruise’s latest film, Jack Reacher comes from the novels by British author Lee Child and revolves around the antics of a military police officer turned vigilante. It will be released in the US on December 21.
