Florida Man Killed And Raped Girlfriend’s Cousin Because He Wanted To See What It Felt Like To Kill And Have Sex With A Corpse

An Okeechobee man, Christopher Shows, murdered his girlfriend’s cousin because he wanted to see what it felt like to kill someone and have sex with the body, Florida police say. Shows, 21, shot Amanda Suarez, 25, in the head after she resisted his sexual advances.

Christopher Shows turned up uninvited at the Okeechobee home of Amanda Suarez on December 7. After the mother-of-four had turned down his unwanted advances, Shows left her doorstep. The Florida man returned just a few moments later after walking to his truck to grab his.22 rifle, the Daily Mail reports.

Okeechobee police investigators said Christopher Shows maneuvered Suarez into her kitchen as she tried to run out the back door and escape. After aiming his.22 rifle at her head and squeezing the trigger, Shows reportedly placed her body in the form of a crucifix and raped her corpse. The victim’s 2-year-old daughter was inside the family home when her mother was shot, killed, and raped by her cousin’s boyfriend.

Florida police detectives have stated it is impossible to know if Amanda Suarez was still alive when she was taken into the kitchen by her killer. Police officers ultimately found Suarez’s body lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor, CBS reports. Shows was arrested on Monday. He has since confessed to killing the young wife and mother.

“Good wife, good mother,'” Okeechobee County Undersheriff, and Sheriff-elect, Noel Stephen, said when describing the victim. “Everything going their way, until they crossed paths with this sad individual.”

Christopher Shows and Amanda Suarez met while he was dating her cousin. He had been to the victim’s home to socialize before with his girlfriend, which is why police officers believe the large guard dog on the property didn’t bark when he arrived.

Several days after she had been murdered and raped, Okeechobee police officers found her blood-soaked cell phone by the side of a road near her home. A photo of Shows on the sofa reportedly placed him at the crime scene. Florida police officers said the suspected killer tried to cover his tracks by throwing away the phone and burning his clothing.

“In his confession it was just he wanted to know what murder was about. Unfortunately, it was no rhyme no reason. He just wanted to know what murder felt like,” the Undersheriff added.

Christopher Shows was charged with first-degree premeditated murder, armed burglary of an occupied residence with a battery, desecration of a body, attempted sexual battery, grand theft from a residence, and tampering with evidence.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help cover the cost of Amanda Suarez’s funeral expenses and to give immediate aid to the family.

“Our son Mathew and their children, along with her mom, dad, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and our entire family are grieving for the loss of Amanda Suarez, who passed away December 7, 2016, suddenly and unexpectedly. We know that the family will not be able to return to the home, and also now have the horrible task of laying her to rest,” Leah Suarez, the victim’s mother-in-law wrote in a note on the GoFundMe page.

Mathew and Amanda Suarez had four children ranging in age from two to 11.

“Our hearts are broken and we just ask for your continued prayers,” Leah Suarez added.

The grieving relative also noted the family is not used to asking for help but instead has frequently assumed the role of aiding others. She asked for donations from those who can help and for prayers for Mathew Suarez and his children, from everyone.
