Hayden Panettiere Reveals How ‘Nashville’ Was So Close To Her Real Life

Hayden Panettiere is back on Nashville once again now that CMT has picked it up after ABC canceled the show. Us Magazine shared that Hayden is speaking about how this was hard on her considering it was so much like her real life. Back in 2014, Hayden had her daughter, Kaya, and dealt with postpartum depression. Hayden recently spoke to Access Hollywood about it all.

Hayden explained, “You have to ride the waves like the character. When you’re that close to your character, you feel their pain and sometimes things hit close to home, and there’s been a lot of that.” Back in October of 2015, Hayden Panettiere got help for her postpartum depression and then she also checked into a facility back in May of 2016. At the time, she went to Twitter and said, “The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck.”

Hayden also shared that they have a really rough schedule shooting a show like Nashville. They shoot for 10 months out of the year, and she doesn’t get much of a break. This could be part of what was so hard on her as well.

In the interview, you see can a preview where Hayden’s character is in a wheelchair. She was in a plane crash at the end of the last season of Nashville. She is told that her legs are healing well, but so far, things aren’t looking great for her spinal cord. She may never be able to walk again, but viewers will have to wait to see how it all turns out for her.

Hayden Panettiere says that it was the fans who essentially brought the show back to life. The show was canceled by ABC, but fans were not happy. CMT ultimately made the decision to bring the show back to television. A few characters aren’t returning, but you will get to see most of the same faces. Hayden is ready for the show to return, and the actress admits that the situations she faces have hit close to home for her. Connie Britton also shared how supportive she is of Hayden Panettiere.

Taste of Country shared that Hayden Panettiere is also talking about how being a mother has changed her over the years. Her daughter is now two. She was recently in Parade magazine where she talked about being a mom and more. Here is what Hayden revealed.

“I went through a pregnancy and I found out who my true friends were — the ones that were going to stick around and support me. I’ll just say the outcome was slim pickins! Now [that] I’m the mother of a 2-year-old, I’ve found my pack of solid, loyal, lifelong friends here and am settled into a beautiful routine.”

Hayden Panettiere also went on to admit that she might want to do music someday, but right now she is really busy. Being a mom and an actress may be all that she has time to do for now, but you never know what will end up happening in the future. She admits she couldn’t dedicate enough time to it right now.
