Zsa Zsa Gabor Ninth Husband Planned To Cash In On Her 100th Birthday Says Friends

Prince Frédéric von Anhalt is disappointed that he didn’t get to throw a huge birthday party for his wife, Zsa Zsa Gabor, who died this week, two months shy of her 100th birthday. The prince allegedly wanted to have a huge bash and sell photos to the tabloids to make some serious bank. The German prince, who is 27 years younger than Gabor, had publicly admitted that Gabor had been totally unaware of what was going on around her; so much that she didn’t notice that part of her leg had been amputated.

The year 2016 has been rough in terms of celebrity deaths, but Zsa Zsa Gabor had a rather long life, making it to 99. Prince, on the other hand, died suddenly and unexpectedly at age 57 while he was still in the midst of his career, says the Inquisitr. This year also saw the death of Glenn Frey, John Glenn, and Alan Rickman, and statistically, 2016 was a worse than usual year for celebrity deaths.

Gabor’s ninth husband, Frédéric von Anhalt, has been described as “kooky” and willing to take advantage of a publicity stunt, which is why friends say he was ready to throw Zsa Zsa Gabor a big birthday bash for her 100th birthday in February, says PageSix. It’s safe to say that Gabor would have had no clue it was her 100th birthday.

“He wanted to throw a big 100th birthday. He’d throw these birthdays [every year] to get money from the rags. They don’t pay as much as they used to, but he was anticipating the 100th birthday.”

For Zsa Zsa’s 95th birthday, von Anhalt threw a big party, which Gabor did not even attend, as she was upstairs, bedridden. The “prince” had a German gala, serving pretzels and schnitzel. He claimed that he did not really need a reason to celebrate his wife’s life. Von Anhalt reportedly bought his title in Germany, and then sold it off to other people, pocketing some serious money, which more than paid for it.

“If someone offers you $2 million, you do it.”

Frederic Prinz Von Anhalt was actually the son of a German police detective, but he was more than thirsty for another life back in Germany, says Heavy. He was born Robert Hans Lichtenberg, and he was reportedly adopted by Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt, the daughter-in-law of German Emperor Wilhelm II at age 36. He claims that he gave the princess “in her last days a lot of pleasure.”

Back in 2007, after the death of Anna Nicole Smith, von Anhalt alleged he had been sleeping with the pin-up for a decade and said he thought he was potentially the father of her baby, Dannielynn. After Larry Birkhead took a DNA test and proved he was the father, von Anhalt’s reps said that he never intended to disrupt their family.

“We never intended to take Dannielynn from anyone, we were just here in case Prince Von Anhalt was the father. We wish Larry luck in raising Dannielynn and we wish him the best.”

This wasn’t the prince’s only stunt. He was found naked after being handcuffed to the steering wheel of his car by prostitutes. In another incident, he sued the makers of Viagra, claiming that the drug was addictive, and he was unable to have sex without it. After sending out press releases, von Anhalt withdrew the lawsuit.
