Blake Shelton Allegedly Planning On Finally Popping The Question To Gwen Stefani Over The Holidays [Report]
Wedding bells are in the air! After a year of speculation, Blake Shelton is reportedly ready to pop the big question to Gwen Stefani over the holidays. Will Shelton and Stefani finally get engaged this Christmas?
An inside source told Hollywood Life that Shelton has been shopping around for an engagement ring. With his holiday schedule cleared, Shelton is using the opportunity to ask Stefani to marry him.
“Blake [Shelton] has been shopping up a storm for Gwen [Stefani] and her boys [for Christmas]. He basically bought everything Toys R’ Us sells for young boys including Minecraft, Pokémon and Tech Deck supplies. He also likes to get the boys some good old country presents like real bows and arrows, which they shoot on his property,” the insider revealed.
Shelton extended his generosity to Stefani. Not only is going to shower her with gifts this Christmas, but he also went shopping for a diamond ring.
“Blake is just as generous when it comes to Gwen,” the source shared. “He really loves to spoil her. He won’t say if he’s going to propose or not, but he’s definitely been shopping for diamond jewelry.”
Back in May, Stefani was spotted wearing a large diamond ring. At the time, an insider revealed that the No Doubt rocker was trying to drop a hint to her boyfriend. Her plan apparently worked!
“As far as the ring is concerned that was worn at Wango Tango, it is not an engagement ring from Blake but it is Gwen’s attempt at giving Blake the hint that he should ask soon because she is more than ready for it to happen,” a source explained.
“During Wango Tango she didn’t talk to anyone about actually being engaged because she is not yet, but she talked about how things were going great with Blake and how she was looking forward to the future. She knows they both have their albums and their tour to worry about, and he has to deal with a few more weeks of The Voice but if he is ready to pop the question she is ready to say yes!”
That being said, Shelton and Stefani have been plagued with wedding rumors all year long. There’s no telling what Blake Shelton plans on doing this Christmas, though his romance with Stefani hasn’t slowed down a bit.
According to People, Shelton recently revealed that he and Stefani take frequent rides in his helicopter. While Shelton isn’t qualified to pilot the craft, he admitted that he and Stefani use it a lot but only when they’re drinking.
“I don’t know how to fly it,” Shelton stated. “So we use somebody else because in order to fly in it you need to be drinking. In order to be able to settle in and really enjoy, you gotta have some drinks and you shouldn’t be flying.”
The Voice coach also dished on his recent trip to Disneyland with Stefani and her three boys.
“She took me to Disneyland,” he shared. “Then she drove me down the street to the house that she grew up in and then the house that they used where they basically created No Doubt and wrote a lot of the songs and rehearsed every day on Beacon Street down there – I got to see all that stuff.”
Shelton also joined Stefani and the boys during a pre-holiday trip to Lake Arrowhead. E! News is reporting that Shelton and the family were spotted walking around the small town and later dined at a local restaurant.
“It’s been just an eye opener to be with someone like her,” Shelton explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I mean, you think Gwen Stefani and No Doubt, and she is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life. It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart.”
