Liam Payne Is ‘100 Percent Certain’ One Direction Will Get Back Together, Niall Horan ‘Guarantees’ It
One Direction is one of those every half century kinds of bands. Niall Horan and Liam Payne are promising it isn’t over. While many people look only at what they have done, Niall, Liam, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson are looking forward to what they can do in the future.
One Direction’s Niall Horan has repeatedly assured fans and the press that One Direction will be back together. Initially, before the hiatus, Niall explained to fans that the hiatus would be for about 18 months. Other band members said one or two years. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson were all there on stage agreeing with them. Unreality TV quotes one of Horan’s recent pledges to reunite.
“Of course! We’d be stupid not to go back to it. It changed our lives, there’s no doubt about it. I don’t know when that will be; whether it’s next year or the year after… But we’ll definitely be pursuing that again. 100 percent.”
One Direction with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan will come back together in one or two years from March of 2016. That is what the band said before they went on break, and that is what the guys are doing.
Liam Payne chimed in with the same response as Niall Horan when fan Clair Vendicacion tweeted to ask Liam if One Direction would get back together again. Clair asked the question on all fan’s minds.

One Direction with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson will reunite in 2017 or 2018. It will be at least 18 months from March of 2016. That is what Niall, Harry, Liam, and Louis promised from the beginning and that no one is changing their story at all. Nothing unusual is happening. Bands take breaks, and bands take time out to record solo material or make movies. It’s not strange at all except in the context of teen pop, which offers no career longevity. Few teen bands last five years.
If One Direction were just a run of the mill teen pop band, they would have fizzled out about three years ago. No one would be listening to them by now. If Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan were not talented musicians, and only pretty faces, their solo work would not be selling like it is and topping the charts.
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson’s new single “Just Hold On” is extremely popular, Spotify is showing 13 million streams from December 10- 19 according to News AU. Zayn Malik’s career is nothing short of phenomenal and Niall Horan’s “This Town” has been very well received as well.

One Direction members Harry Styles and Liam Payne are still working on their solo material, but those albums should be released in 2017, along with Niall Horan’s album and hopefully, Louis Tomlinson’s album. Zayn Malik could possibly release another album next year as well. Zayn has been working out of a studio in London.
For One Direction, the solo work is vital to the band’s progress as the Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson transition from a boy band into something more mature. The direction that One Direction will take is yet to be seen, but Harry Styles has been gaining real credibility as a rock icon.
