Pippa Middleton’s Wedding: Everything You Wanted To Know But Were Afraid To Ask

There is a media frenzy right now surrounding Pippa Middleton’s wedding, and the world is anxiously watching and waiting as further details of Pippa’s wedding are being reported with each passing day.

Over the past summer, the financier James Matthews proposed to Pippa Middleton, and Brides reported that Matthews went about with their engagement in a suitably traditional way by asking his future father-in-law for permission before he proposed to Pippa.

The world was practically agog when they saw the engagement ring that Matthews gave to Middleton which is “megawatt vintage-inspired” and is framed with an octagonal-shaped halo.

On Sunday, July 17, the happy couple announced a joint statement about their upcoming wedding.

“Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr James Matthews are delighted to announce that they became engaged on Sunday, July 17, and plan to marry next year.”

US Magazine has reported that Pippa Middleton’s low-key wedding ceremony will take place in front of 100 guests on May 20, 2017, at the St. Marks Englefield in Berkshire. Meanwhile, the Irish Independent suggests that the wedding location was chosen not only for its privacy but also for sentimental reasons, as a source told the publication.

“Pippa is a traditional girl and wanted to marry close to home. They appreciate there will be significant interest with the wedding but want to keep it as private as possible.”

After their wedding ceremony, guests will make their way to the home of Michael and Carole Middleton, which is located seven miles away in Bucklebury. The wedding party is planned to take place in the Middleton’s garden, but the entirety of the grounds of their home will be used for this after-wedding celebration.

Who will be taking part in Pippa Middleton’s wedding? US Magazine goes on to give us further details about those that will be taking part.

“Princess Charlotte is going to be one of the flower girls. They’re planning for Prince George to be a page boy.”

It has also been suggested that Spencer, the groom’s younger brother, will be best man at the wedding.

However, will Kate be part of Pippa Middleton’s wedding ceremony? There are still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding this issue. While Prince William and Kate will certainly loom large at the wedding, it is unknown at this time as to what role Kate is going to be playing at her sister’s wedding.

As to all of the little details of Pippa’s ceremony, she has been extremely busy, as one might expect, with choosing all of her arrangements. She was spotted in Chelsea, London in September, visiting the Lavender Green florist to take a look at bridal bouquets. What did US Magazine’s source think of Pippa Middleton’s wedding floral picks?

“Very chic, very classic. Think antique, ivory, and a twist like adding lace. She hasn’t picked the final look, but it was important to explore her options before going for bridal gown fittings. She took lots of photos on her phone and was really excited. She has a folder of magazine cuttings and pictures she has taken.”

Will Prince Harry be bringing Meghan Markle, who he has been seeing since May, to Pippa Middleton’s wedding? And might Prince Harry make his own wedding announcement and propose to Meghan before James and Pippa tie the knot? A source from People has said that it’s certainly a distinct possibility.

“That is certainly a possibility. It is certainly one possible outcome. It’s pretty serious, so we will see.”

In the meantime, ABC News reports that Prince William and Kate will be spending Christmas with the Middleton family this year. There will surely be plenty of exciting things to discuss with preparations currently underway for Pippa Middleton’s wedding.
