Fifth Harmony Feud? A Complete Timeline Of The Drama That May Have Caused Camila Cabello’s Departure

Fifth Harmony fans woke up to the news on December 19 that Camila Cabello has officially quit the band four-and-a-half years after the girl group were put together as a fivesome on The X Factor USA, but was Camila’s decision to quit caused by a nasty feud within the band?

It has long been rumored that the Fifth Harmony girls haven’t exactly gotten along with Cabello, despite the bandmates denying accusations of a feud on numerous occasions. Yet after the girls revealed on social media that Cabello revealed her departure through her “representatives,” fans are now speculating that the long reported feud could have been the main factor in her decision to quit.

Camila is yet to officially comment on her decision to quit the band, having so far stayed radio silent on social media ever since her now former bandmates announced she had quit on Twitter on December 18. The Inquisitr is taking a look back at a year of rumors that the bandmates have allegedly been caught in a nasty feud, which could potentially have contributed to Cabello’s departure.

June 19 – Clara Jauregui hints at drama
Lauren Jauregui’s mom Clara Jauregui was first to hint that all may not have been well within Fifth Harmony earlier this year, causing a whole lot of drama after posting, and promptly deleting, a tweet that suggested Lauren, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei and Ally Brook weren’t exactly happy with Cabello’s solo music aspirations.

According to Perez Hilton, Jauregui allegedly slammed Camila and her manager Roger Gold on Twitter after Cabello won four awards at the Canada’s Much Music Video Awards, two of which also belonged to Fifth Harmony.

Clara allegedly put Gold on serious blast after he congratulated Camila on her four wins, hinting at a feud between the girls and Camila by scathingly pointing out that half of Cabello’s awards were for being a part of the band.

“Lets get it right 2 were thanks to @FifthHarmony,” Jauregui allegedly wrote in response to Gold’s praise of Camila, in which he failed to acknowledge Fifth Harmony and added serious fuel to the feud rumors. “Just keeping it real.”

July 4 – Camila is absent on the Fourth of July
Camila further sparked rumors of an in-band feud in July after her four bandmates were spotted celebrating the Fourth of July while on tour in Brazil, though Cabello allegedly skipped out on the band’s party.

Perez Hilton reported at the time that Cabello’s now former Fifth Harmony bandmates took to Snapchat to show fans how they celebrated Independence Day while in South America on what will now be their final tour as a five piece, the “7/27 Tour,” posting videos and photos of themselves partying by the hotel pool as a fourpiece.

Ally, Normani, Dinah and Lauren all posted several photos and videos of their celebrations to Snapchat, though none featured Cabello, as Perez Hilton reported that Camila told fans via Snapchat that she spent the holiday away from her bandmates, instead working on solo music back at the band’s hotel.

Cabello uploaded a photo of her makeshift studio to Snapchat on July 4, according to a screenshot captured by Fifth Harmony fan @CCabelloNews, in which she showed she was back at the hotel and not with her now former bandmates.

“My lil studio I’ve been stuck in all day,” Camila captioned her photo, which showed her working on music with her laptop and keyboard in a hotel bathroom as Dinah, Ally, Lauren and Normani celebrated.

August 2 – Normani “throws shade” at Camila
In early August, footage of Normani allegedly shading Camila hit the web, sending the feud rumor mill into overdrive.

Fifth Harmony fans were sent into meltdown after footage of Kordei allegedly struggled to complement Cabello surfaced, as the clip showed Normani quickly refer to Ally Brooke as being “Sunshine,” Dinah Jane a “turn up queen” and Lauren Jauregui as a “therapist” after being asked to describe her bandmates in one word, though Kordei appeared to struggle to describe Camila.

Normani did go on to call Camila “quirky” and “cute” during the interview, though the controversial interview caused serious drama for the girls, forcing Kordei to issue a statement denying an in-band feud.

August 4 – Fifth Harmony cancel tour dates
Rumors of an in-band feud hit fever pitch after Fifth Harmony suddenly canceled the final four dates on the U.S. leg of their “7/27 Tour” without explanation.

Teen Vogue confirmed that Camila and her bandmates had canceled their scheduled September stops in Auburn and Ridgefield, Washington, San Diego, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, but are still yet to offer up a reason for the cancellations, though many fans claimed at the time that Cabello could have been behind the decision to pull the plug on the scheduled dates.

August 30 – Fifth Harmony “ditch” Camila
In late August, A Dose of Sass claimed that the Fifth Harmony girls did not appear to be getting along while attending a party to celebrate their big win at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, claiming that Dinah, Lauren, Ally and Normani supposedly left an after-party as soon as Camila arrived, allegedly “ditching” the singer just weeks after canceling several tour dates.

“At the Republic Records after-party, the group did not seem so harmonious,” the gossip site claimed of the Fifth Harmony girls at the time, despite the band taking home two awards on the night for Best Collaboration for their duet with Ty Dolla $ign “Work From Home,” and Song of the Summer for “All In My Head (Flex)” with Fetty Wap.

“Four members of the band showed up, Camilla Cabello was missing,” an onlooker continued to the site of Fifth Harmony’s supposed feud, alleging that “at 2:30 a.m. Camilla walks in [to the party] and the other four leave.”

Though Fifth Harmony never confirmed the allegations, the site continued to claim that the four girls were caught in a feud with Cabello, claiming that “the other four are frustrated with the amount of time Camilla is spending on pursuing a solo career” after Cabello dropped “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and then teamed up with Machine Gun Kelly for “Bad Things” a few weeks later.

September 2 – Camila fails to finish a show
Camila sparked feud rumors once again in early September after concertgoers attending Fifth Harmony’s show in Missouri witness Cabello leave the stage early and fail to return.

According to Us Weekly, Cabello exited the stage seven songs before the band were set to finish their set and did not return to the show to close out the concert with Dinah, Lauren, Normani and Ally, instead issuing a statement following the show in which she claimed she was struggling with crippling anxiety that left her unable to return.

“Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night,” Camila told Fifth Harmony fans on Snapchat after exiting the show early. “Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it. I love u. I’m truly sorry.”

September 3 – Camila is accused of “pushing” Lauren

After failing to finish Fifth Harmony’s set in Missouri, Cabello was then accused by fans of “pushing” bandmate Lauren during the same concert.

Fifth Harmony fans posted footage to social media that they claimed showed Cabello pushing Jauregui during the show, minutes before she left the stage early, though others claimed that the onstage incident was nothing but a tap as the feud rumors continued to hit the headlines.

September 13 – Fifth Harmony cancel further tour dates
In mid-September, Fifth Harmony mysteriously canceled further dates on their “7/27 Tour” without explanation, sparking rumors that Camila was planning to quit Fifth Harmony.

According to Capital FM, Fifth Harmony suddenly pulled the plug on European tour stops in Berlin, Munich & Marseille, but did not offer up an explanation for the second round of canceled dates, which caused the feud claims to once again hit the headlines.

September 15 – Simon Cowell hints at a Fifth Harmony feud

Also in September, Fifth Harmony’s manager and former The X Factor USA judge Simon Cowell appeared to reveal that there was drama within the girl band, seemingly confirming a feud within the band during a red carpet interview with New Music Buzz.

Amid the feud claims, Simon was asked by the site exactly what was going on with the Fifth Harmony girls, to which Cowell coyly replied just weeks before Camila quit that their drama was “the same as any other group.”

“We have conversations about what they want to do. We gotta listen to them. It’ll be fine,” Simon then continued amid the feud claims, before raising eyebrows and suspicions of a drama in the band by turning to the camera to pull a nervous face and adding, “I hope!”

December 9 – Fifth Harmony appear without Camila
The Fifth Harmony feud accusations ran rampant once again in December after Camila’s bandmates were spotted at Z100’s Artist Gift Lounge 2016, while Camila was nowhere to be found just days before she quit the band.

December 16 – Fifth Harmony appear as a foursome (again)
Just days before Fifth Harmony announced Camila had quit the band, Dinah, Normani, Ally and Lauren appeared as a foursome once again in the press room at the Power 96.1’s Jingle Ball 2016, where the band performed their final show as a five piece two days before announcing Cabello had quit.

But despite the numerous accusations of an in-band feud, Camila is still yet to issue a statement on her decision to quit the band, meaning any speculation of drama and feuding within the band being the reason behind her leaving Fifth Harmony is pure conjecture.

Why do you think Camila Cabello made the decision to leave Fifth Harmony? Do you believes rumors of an in-band feud leading to her decision to quit?
