Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have finally blessed the public with the presence of their kids. The celebrity couple have made it a point to raise their children out of the public eye. The pair have been notoriously close-lipped about their kids, not even revealing the name of their younger daughter who was born last September.
The family finally made a public appearance together on Thursday, marking the first time their daughters have posed for the cameras. Lively, 29, and Reynolds, 40, have done their best to keep their kids out of the spotlight in order to provide them with as normal of a life as possible, no easy feat with two incredibly famous parents. Two-year-old James and her three-month-old baby sister came out to see their father receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Reynolds explained to Extra why he chose to bring his family out for this event. “This is one of the rare occasions when we thought we got to bring the whole clan. I’d regret it in 20 years if I didn’t.”
Lively and Reynolds are known for being down-to-earth and exceptionally devoted to each other, making them a favorite celebrity couple with fans everywhere.
“I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there, who is everything to me. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make everything better. You make everything in my life better. You’ve given me two of the most incredible children I’ve ever hoped to have.”

Lively has had no problem posing with her baby bump during each of her pregnancies, but the star has kept her kids off of social media after their births. She posted a picture of herself with husband Reynolds and daughter James standing around his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star, but only showed their feet. The Instagram post included a touching tribute to her partner of five years.
This isn’t the first time James’ feet have appeared on Instagram. In a previous post of Ryan Reynolds carrying his daughter, you can see her feet poking out from the baby carrier.
The couple met during the filming of Green Lantern in 2010, tying the knot in 2012. Reynolds was previously married to actress Scarlett Johansson.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are quite active on social media, reclusive only when it comes to their kids. Despite this, jokester Reynolds does not shy away from posting humorous anecdotes and jokes about life as a father on Twitter.

James Reynolds appeared to have a taste for the spotlight, at one point taking the microphone away from her dad and waving it in front of the crowd. The toddler has inherited Lively’s beautiful blonde locks, appearing with a head full of golden ringlets.
The parenting approach Lively and Reynolds are taking is a refreshing change from celebrity parents who fill their social media profiles with pictures of their kids. Lively is familiar with the perils of superstardom, coming from a large family of celebrities. Her father and siblings are also actors and her mother worked as a talent scout. It is possible that this background is what makes the celebrity couple so determined to provide their children with as normal of a life as possible.
