Duggar Family Controversy: Jill Duggar Remembers ‘Stillborn’ Younger Sister, Other Controversial Moments Remembered

If there’s one thing we know about the stars of 19 Kids and Counting, it’s that the Duggar family loves controversy. And today, the Duggar family is back in the news because of a recent comment about a child born so long ago.

According to The Independent Journal Review, the latest Duggar family controversy has to do with Jill Duggar, who wants viewers of Counting On to remember the Duggar child that didn’t survive. On December 11, 2011, Jubilee Shalom Duggar was born to Duggar patriarch Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle. However, Jubilee — who was the 20th Duggar child — was born dead (commonly referred to as stillborn).

Jill took her sentiments to Instagram, and used her sister’s death to preach a pro-life message, claiming that “all life is precious,” and that she hoped to meet her sister someday in Heaven.

Naturally, people instantly hopped on Jill’s page to criticize her for sharing a photo of her stillborn sister.

“All religion is one big joke. Gods existence is a joke. I could go on and on about why everything you believe in is a joke, but I believe I’d be wasting my time because you’re too far gone to save now.”

But Life News has a different take on the latest Duggar family controversy. According to them, Jill’s post gave people who lost their child an opportunity to share their grief.

One mother shared the story of how she was grateful for her six children on Earth, but how she missed all her children that were currently in Heaven. Another mother shared the story of how she lost her full-term son, Jimmy, eight years ago, to a stillbirth. Still another mother shared her story about how she had a miscarriage at 20 weeks nearly a year ago, but how she still misses her daughter.

Life News said that this was a perfect opportunity for people to realize that all lives are precious.

“Stories like these highlight the value of babies in the womb. Through social media and other venues, families are finding new ways to help society understand that every baby’s life, no matter how short, is valuable.”

Still, the latest Duggar family controversy with Jill isn’t the most controversial thing that the Duggar family has done all year.

In fact, according to The Stir, the family has been mired in so much controversy in 2016 that they need their own top 10 list!

In addition to Josh’s stint in a faith-based rehab (and his subsequent reunion with Anna), the list talks about Jim Bob and Michelle getting permanent custody of Michelle’s great-nephew, and Josh’s current pending lawsuit with DJ Matthew McCarthy!

According to the suit, Josh is currently facing a lawsuit from the party DJ because he used McCarthy’s photo without permission on the dating website, Ashley Madison. For their part, Ashley Madison itself is mired in controversy because it’s a site that’s targeted to people that are already in committed relationships — or whom are married — to have an affair. The site’s tagline, until July 2016, was “life is short, have an affair.”

The site then went on to talk about the Zika virus controversy, and then discussed how fans of the show were outraged over a pic of baby Spurgeon wearing nothing but his onesie (the baby has no pants! Sinner!).
