‘Days Of Our Lives’ Preview: ‘Chabby’ Reunion – Chad DiMera’s Reaction Is Abigail’s Worst Fear On ‘DOOL’ [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives is starting to move forward with the storylines. One has to do with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail Devereaux (Marci Miller). Known to fans as “Chabby,” the two will finally reunite next week on the NBC soap opera. When they finally see each other and speak, what will Chad’s reaction be to Abby’s explanation?

DOOL spoilers are ahead. If you do not want to know anything that is going to happen on the long-running soap opera, then stop reading.

Last night, NBC released the weekly preview for Days Of Our Lives. After weeks of wondering if Abigail’s storyline was going anywhere, it is finally going to happen. “Chabby” will reunite, but it won’t go the way fans think.

In the preview clip, Abigail is saying goodbye to her son, Thomas. She has snuck into the DiMera mansion and isn’t interested in telling Chad that she is alive. As fans know, Abby got all dressed up and was prepared to reunite with her husband. However, when Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) opened the door, Chad and Gabi (Camila Hernandez) were kissing. Abigail saw this and it was clear that her heart shattered into a million pieces. However, Chad can’t be blamed. Remember, he believes that his wife is dead.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers from the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest reveal additional information about Chad and Abigail. Next week, Abby will decide it is best if she leaves Salem after witnessing Chad and Gabi (Camila Banus) kissing. She has no intention of letting him know that she is alive. However, fate steps in as she is saying goodbye to her baby boy. Chad happens to walk in and can’t believe his eyes. His wife is not dead after all.

The Days Of Our Lives character is stunned. He doesn’t understand, so Abigail has to explain why she left, where she went, and why. She will also have to tell Chad that it was Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) who helped fake her death. He thinks it is going to bring him closer to Chad and the DiMera fortune, as Abigail mentioned on Friday’s episode. However, Chad will probably be angry with Andre. Yes, Abby got the help that she needed, but Chad nearly lost everything while he was grieving. Not only did he almost lose custody of Thomas, but how could a family member allow him to go through that kind of emotional torment?

Sneak peek photos published in the magazine show Chad kneeling in front of Abigail. He is the type of man that is honorable and will take care of her no matter what. Even though he will probably be upset that she ran away and kept herself hidden, he still loves her. At the same time, he will have a lot of information and feelings to process.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Billy Flynn said in an interview that he will feel a bit betrayed by his wife. He added that Chad and Abigail are two different people now. However, that doesn’t mean they are over. The Days Of Our Lives actor also teased that his character would follow his heart. With an attraction to someone else, will he end up choosing Abby or Gabi?

As for Abigail’s worst fear when it comes to Chad’s reaction, what is she so scared of? It seems like she is fearful of Chad finding out she is alive, as if she doesn’t want to be with him. However, that isn’t exactly accurate. She loves her husband and misses him. That is why she keeps spying on him, looking at photos, and gets hurt when she sees Chad and Gabi together. She even imagined how she hopes he will react, with open arms and loving words.

Abigail is afraid that Chad has already moved on. She is also apprehensive about his true feelings. She knows he will want to do the right thing and stay married to her. However, she doesn’t want that if he has feelings for someone else. Abigail’s other problem is her constant negativity about her issues. She needs to focus on how far she has come and getting back to living. Sure, she may still need medication and therapy, but that doesn’t mean she can’t start to rebuild her life.

Marci Miller explained Abigail’s thinking to Soap Opera Digest.

“Abigail doesn’t want Chad to learn the truth. She knows he would make the ‘good man’ choice of staying with her and she doesn’t want that to happen. Abigail thinks she’s crazy and that she would be a burden to Chad and Thomas.”

The magazine concluded the teaser by saying Chad’s reaction is Abigail’s worst fear. Does Chad DiMera try to rebuild his family even though he has feelings for Gabi Hernandez? Does he want to take care of her out of obligation? Or does Chad react to Abigail’s “resurrection” with anger? Days Of Our Lives fans will have to watch the soap opera next week to find out what happens with “Chabby.”
