Ryan Reynolds’ Children Make Their Public Debut At His Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony — Have New Stars Been Born?

Lost in Ryan Reynolds getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was a very special red-carpet debut: the young Reynolds children.

Reynolds, whose daughters with actress Blake Lively appeared for the first time in public before cameras, could be seen watching on as “Daddy” was rightfully given his very own star on the Walk for his cinematic accomplishments.

The images of the Reynolds-Lively children have been posted by Entertainment Tonight.

The children — soon-to-be-2-year-old James and the still as-yet publicly unnamed newborn — were finally on display for the world to see for the first time after weeks of Reynolds’ recent, all-too-public declarations of his love for his daughters.

Posing for photographers, the famed actor Ryan held his daughter James, who was wearing a yellow dress, letter-man jacket, and polka-dot tights, while Lively held their new child.

“Well, they look alike. You can see that she’s sort of a mini version of our older girl,” quipped Reynolds, also according to Entertainment Tonight.

“But, no, it’s great,” Ryan continued. “It’s like an actually cohesive, working, functioning family.”

And as a fully functioning machine, that means that each member of the Reynolds household is willing to do extra work to help pick up the slack where needed.

“It’s amazing to see my older daughter taking care of my younger one,” Reynolds continued, speaking of his beloved daughters. “The Lion King was right! The circle of life exists.”

In spite of his comical observation, however, Ryan Reynolds’ first-time public display of his children serves as a drastic change from the private nature for which the Reynolds family unit is traditionally known.

As E.T. noted, Ryan Reynolds has been “notoriously private” and protective of their two children.

Then, let’s not forget Reynolds himself allegedly drawing heat from Blake Lively for revealing the gender of their infant daughter not too long ago.

This display at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, however, is indicative of a new Ryan Reynolds, one who seemingly stands unafraid of showing off his very-much-beloved children.

It is an image that many believe started to thaw publicly a little in some of Ryan’s more recent interviews.

On a recent edition of Conan, also per E.T., for example, Reynolds famously remarked,

“It’s pretty remarkable, you know? I used to say to my wife all the time, I can’t actually imagine ever loving a second child as much as I love the first. Then, that baby comes popping out and I acted like I was totally wrong.”

Still, Ryan will be the first to admit that his two young children, in particular, present a unique set of challenges for him as a parent.

“Two [children] under two is tough,” Reynolds admitted on Conan. “Lot of estrogen… I’ll pour some cereal in the morning and there’s like a tiny shoe in there. That’s a choking hazard for me!”

Certainly, having children and a full family life seems like a very drastic change of pace for the Deadpool star.

Reynolds, whose star commemoration on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was first broken earlier this year by ComicBook, was joined by actors Chris Pratt, Amy Adams, Mark Ruffalo, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

In spite of the glitz and glamour surrounding Ryan Reynolds’ unique distinction, however, his children — and the way they have seemingly changed the actor forever for the better — rings true.

“I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there, who is everything to me. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me,” said Ryan Reynolds during the Hollywood Walk ceremony today.

“You make everything better,” he smiled, continuing. “You make everything in my life better. You’ve given me two of the most incredible children I’ve ever hoped to have.”

And for Ryan Reynolds, the children in his life seem to be far more important than any sparkly commendation from his Hollywood peers.
