Ian Ziering’s wife is expecting a second baby, the former 90210 star has confirmed to People.

Ziering’s wife is expecting baby number two just a year and a half after the birth of their first child, Mia, who is currently 18 months old. Ziering, who wed wife Erin in May of 2012, tells the magazine that their toddler is already excited about being a big sister:

“We tell her ‘baby’ and point to Erin’s belly … Now she points to Erin’s belly and says, ‘Baby.’”

News that Ian Ziering’s wife is expecting isn’t rivaling the frequent baby-making activities of fellow 90210 alum Tori Spelling, who suffered complications from her most recent birth, possibly due to the close spacing of her four children.
As we reported earlier, Spelling revealed that she suffered placenta previa and bleeding during her fourth pregnancy, while carrying son Finn, who had been conceived just a month after the birth of her third child.

But news Ziering’s wife is expecting has been less concerning and more joyful for the family, Ziering says to the mag. Of the impending new arrival, Ian gushes:

“I feel blessed, having a family is something that I’ve always wanted … Having a second child is the realization of a dream come true.”

Ziering confirms that the child is due in May and that his wife Erin is currently in her second trimester of pregnancy. And while they wait for the new arrival, Ziering says he has kept busy acting and producing, adding that he “[has] a lot of irons in the fire.”
