Miley Cyrus Is Looking Forward To ‘The Voice’ Season 13

Miley Cyrus just said goodbye to the 11th season of The Voice, and now, she’s looking ahead to Season 13.

While Miley Cyrus will not appear on the 12th season of the NBC singing competition, she announced in October that she would be back for next year’s fall season and after participating in the Season 11 finale earlier this week, she shared a sweet message to her co-stars on Instagram.

“I believe in my heart I was brought to the voice to meet not only the incredible artists competing BUT my fellow coaches [Adam Levine], [Blake Shelton], and of course big sis [Alicia Keys]!!!!” Miley Cyrus wrote on Instagram along with a photo of herself and Keys. “I love you so much! This time spent together was good for my soul & thankful I have you in my corner.”

Miley Cyrus joined the cast of The Voice earlier this year after appearing as a mentor for Team Christina Aguilera during Season 10.

During Season 11, Miley Cyrus was joined by a slew of talented singers, but unfortunately, she didn’t make it to this week’s finale. Instead, her final contestants were eliminated during an episode earlier this month. That said, Miley Cyrus’ debut season was tons of fun, and despite not making it to the finale episodes, she is looking forward to her upcoming return.

“Can’t wait to be back for season 13!!!!” she wrote. “What AWESOME artists do you think will be on #TeamMiley the next time around!?!?! I can’t wait to find out!”

Before Miley Cyrus rejoins her co-stars for The Voice Season 13, she will be taking a months-long break from the reality program as her fellow coach, Gwen Stefani, returns to her coaching role after taking two seasons off.

As fans will recall, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera had been alternating seasons as coach for the past couple of years but due to Stefani’s This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour earlier this year, she was unable to commit to appearing on Season 10. So, in turn, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys joined the series’ stars, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

While many stars of the show have come and gone, Shelton and Levine have appeared on all 11 seasons of the show and will also be appearing on Season 12 next year.

NBC confirmed Stefani’s return to the show in October, via The Wrap, and also noted Miley Cyrus’ Season 13 return.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “With [Miley Cyrus] returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

Around the same time, Miley Cyrus took to Twitter and confirmed the news with her fans and followers.

Although Miley Cyrus will likely miss spending time with her co-stars in the coming months, she has fiancé Liam Hemsworth to keep her company. While Cyrus and Hemsworth temporarily broke up in 2013, they reportedly got back together at the end of last year and earlier this year, they confirmed they were back on with a joint outing in Los Angeles. Since then, Cyrus has been seen wearing her Neil Lane engagement ring on multiple occasions and recently spoke out about the stunning diamond on The Ellen Degeneres Show. As for her future wedding plans, Miley Cyrus has stayed completely mum.

Miley Cyrus’ co-stars will be reuniting for Season 12 in the coming weeks. The series’ new installment will premiere on NBC on February 27 at 8 p.m.
