‘Flip Or Flop’ Divorce May Get Messy? Christina And Tarek El Moussa May Be Feuding Over Their Net Worth

Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Christina, have confirmed their split, and now, they are facing rumors of possible tension.

According to a new report, the Flip or Flop couple is reportedly preparing to divide their assets — and allegedly struggling to get on the same page about who will get what.

“Now that Christina and [Tarek El Moussa] have split, the couple is facing the daunting and difficult process of trying to split up all their assets. They have worked for years as a couple building a future together, and now they are faced with the hard challenge of dividing up their fortune,” a source explained to Hollywood Life on December 14.

Christina and Tarek El Moussa got married in 2009 and welcomed two children together during their 7-year marriage, including their daughter, 6-year-old Taylor Reese, and their son, 1-year-old Brayden James.

“[Christina and Tarek El Moussa] own multiple properties, luxury cars including a Bentley, and an Escalade, tons of cash and lots of other big-ticket items too,” the source explained. “She is currently living with their kids in their massive $3 million dollar home in Yorba Linda, California and Tarek’s presence in the house has been replaced by a team of nannies.”

Tarek El Moussa and his wife Christina reportedly split in May, but when it came to announcing the news to their fans and viewers of their house-flipping series on HGTV, the former couple waited until this past Monday to share the news.

“Their plan for now is to continue to co-mingle their financial lives until they can figure out an amicable dissolution of assets,” the source added.

According to a report by Starcasm months ago, Tarek El Moussa is worth between $2 and $3 million, and he and Christina reportedly receive $10,000 per episode of their HGTV show. Although Tarek El Moussa makes a substantial amount from flipping houses, he splits his earnings with business partner Pete De Best. Meanwhile, the outlet added, he and Christina charge up to $40,000 to host speaking engagements.

Christina and Tarek El Moussa confirmed their split with People Magazine on December 12.

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” the pair said in a statement. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”

“During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be,” they said in the statement. “We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”
