Miranda Lambert Dissed? Gwen Stefani Allegedly Planning To Slam Blake Shelton’s Ex In New Music [Report]
Miranda Lambert split with husband of three years Blake Shelton last year, and new reports are now claiming that Shelton’s current girlfriend Gwen Stefani is ready to take aim at her boyfriend’s ex in some pretty scathing new music.
According to a new report by In Touch Weekly, despite only releasing her latest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, back in March, Stefani has allegedly already been working on some “personal” new music that reportedly takes aim at Lambert.
A source recently alleged to the site that Gwen is “ready to unleash some very personal songs about Miranda being the constant third wheel in [her] life,” while also reportedly dissing Lambert for giving up on her marriage to Blake so easily after just three years together.
“[Gwen’s] written several songs in which she calls Miranda out for just giving [Blake] up so easily,” the insider alleged of Stefani’s new music diss, claiming that “Miranda won’t see it coming, and that is what Gwen is counting on.”
Claims that Gwen is allegedly gearing up to slam Miranda come just days after Lambert dropped her latest release, The Weight of these Wings, which many of the “Vice” singer’s fans have speculated was inspired by her 2015 divorce from Blake and his new romance with Gwen, as Miranda reportedly takes aim at the couple in some telling lyrics.
Though Lambert has not officially confirmed the inspiration behind her new music, reportedly refusing all interviews while promoting the release, In Touch Weekly’s insider alleged that it’s Miranda’s scathing words on the album that’s supposedly got Stefani so riled up and ready to fire back at Blake’s famous ex.
According to the Stefani insider, Gwen believes that the majority of the songs on The Weight of these Wings are a “direct shot at her and Blake,” which is allegedly why Stefani is no longer willing to stay silent when it comes to Miranda, who’s currently dating fellow country star Anderson East.
“[Gwen] had really tried to take the high road,” claimed the Stefani source of her supposed bad blood with Miranda, “but that is over.”
Reports claiming that Gwen Stefani is now done playing nice and ready to launch a serious diss aimed at Miranda Lambert also come shortly after sources claimed that Lambert didn’t hold back when it came to discussing Blake and Gwen with her inner circle, allegedly accusing the couple of flaunting their romance in order to sell their latest albums.
According to Fox News, Lambert didn’t want to discuss Gwen or Blake while promoting The Weight of these Wings and allegedly accused that the twosome’s latest albums of not selling, despite speaking about their relationship at every opportunity.
The site reported that that Lambert turned down tens of interviews ahead of the release of the album and has been “trying to go Beyoncé and let the music do the talking” rather than dishing the details on her divorce from Blake.
A source close to Miranda also alleged to the site that Lambert seriously dissed Shelton and Stefani in private when asking her team to turn down all interviews, claiming that Miranda allegedly told her PR team that “Gwen’s and Blake’s albums didn’t sell, and all they did was do press,” which is why she’s been staying so silent.
Miranda has not commented on the claims suggesting she slammed Shelton and Stefani and their latest music efforts, though it appeared that Blake may have got word of Lambert’s supposed diss, allegedly subtly slamming Miranda during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this month.
According to Hollywood Life, Shelton couldn’t stop gushing over Gwen while chatting with the daytime talk show host, seemingly throwing a coy diss at Lambert while praising his current girlfriend.
Though Shelton did not name Lambert by name during the interview, Blake did tell DeGeneres that “it’s been just an eye opener to be with someone like [Gwen],” before then seemingly hinting that Miranda was not as “grounded” as Stefani.
“She is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life,” Shelton continued of Stefani, seemingly throwing a subtle diss at Miranda. “It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart.”
