Pink Gets Called A Hypocrite Over Kim Kardashian Remarks As She Poses Topless For Maternity Photo

Singer Pink is getting heat for a topless maternity photo she posted on Instagram this week.

The expectant mother posted a topless shot while covering her chest with her hands. Five-year-old daughter Willow stands behind with her small hands resting on her mom’s pregnant belly. While fans are loving the image itself as the proof is in the comments, others have found it to be hypocritical of Pink following her remarks about Kim Kardashian.

Pink had some choice words for women after Kim posted a nude selfie online, reported Daily Mail. She took to Twitter on International Women’s Day to share a message speaking against posting nude photos.

“Shout out to all of the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their “magic” that they were born with, that only they possess.”

She went on to call out celebrities, such as Kim K, who use their bodies for “attention.”

“It may not ever bring you as much ‘attention’ or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your t**s and a**es, but women like you don’t need that kind of ‘attention.'”

Pink made her opinion loud and clear on the topic by suggesting women who post nude photos lack self-respect.

“In the quiet moments, you will feel something deeper than the fleeting excitement resulting from attention, you will feel something called pride and self respect.”

But she didn’t stop there. She had more to say, including saying women make “silly excuses” for posting such images.

“Keep on resisting the urge to cave. You’ll never have to make silly excuses for yourself.”

She then said she’s open to hearing other people’s opinions, but that hers was already made up and wouldn’t be changed.

“Last one for the evening: you are all entitled to your opinions and feelings and I am open to hear all of it. But it won’t change my mind.”

Obviously, Pink had a lot to say regarding posting nude photos. However, she later went on to post a similar image as Kim’s, except with one glaring difference: she’s pregnant. Fans didn’t let this go unnoticed, though. Commenters called Pink out on this hypocrisy that all women face.

“How come a topless woman is only called beautiful when she’s pregnant? When she’s not pregnant and topless she is ‘slutty’? Hm?”

Perhaps this commenter didn’t realize Pink was guilty of doing just this herself, or they may have been speaking in general. But the fact remains, Pink called out other females for posting nude photos only to follow suit later. Us Weekly reported on Pink’s remarks, saying her statement did come across as shade towards Kardashian, even though she didn’t specifically name her.

Kim came back at her haters saying “I am allowed to be sexy,” and it seems Pink eventually agreed as she posted her own version of a nude photo. While Pink doesn’t necessarily show anything in her photo, the nudity is just as implied as it was in Kim’s photo. However, besides being called a hypocrite, Pink hasn’t suffered the negative backlash that Kim endured.

In fact, most of the comments on her post have been positive and supportive. Fans call Pink “flawless” and “the best person in the world” as they take to her Instagram to leave their remarks. However, one comment did point out the purpose of Pink’s photo was different than Kim’s.

“BEAUTIFUL PIC FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS.”

Pink shared a “snuggle filled” mother-daughter photo, according to E! News, while Kardashian’s was referred to as “racy” and “raunchy” by the likes of Daily Mail. It’s interesting to see the difference between the two photos, mainly why a pregnant woman’s naked body is acceptable for social media while non-pregnant women are labeled differently when they post similar images.
