Nicki Minaj Says She ‘Dodged A Bullet’ Amid Rumored Breakup With Meek Mill

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have been rumored to be heading to splitsville for weeks now. But did the “Anaconda” singer just confirm the rumors?

In a cryptic Instagram post, the 34-year-old rapper wrote, “Thank God u blew it. Thank God I dodged the bullet. I’m so over u. Baby good lookin out.”

The quote references the 2011 hit song by Beyonce, “Best Thing I Never Had,” which dealt with discovering the worst in another person just in time to break off the relationship.

As Beyonce fans know, the song is about a woman who realizes that she dodged a bullet by leaving her lover who doesn’t appreciate how lucky he is to have her.

Us Weekly noted that Mill recently deleted his Instagram account, which only served to fan the fire of the rumored split up further.

Minaj and Mill started dating right after she separated from long-time beau Safaree Samuels two years ago. There were numerous instances when the pair were reported to be engaged. The “Super Bass” singer even helped spark speculations by flashing a 15-carat diamond ring in April 2015 without so much as an explanation.

Their relationship underwent a trial by fire when Mill was placed under a three-month house arrest for violating his probation in connection with a drug dealing and illegal possession of firearms case back in 2008. Apparently, throughout his ordeal, Minaj was there to lend support.

While under house arrest, the rapper had to wear an ankle monitor. His sentence was also extended to six more years of probation, as well as a number of hours of community service, for violating his parole.

During this period, he was also banned from recording and releasing music as well as performing on stage. The rapper has been opening for Minaj on her tours.

Mill is reportedly worth $4 million, while Minaj has an estimated net worth of around $70 million.

In an interview with Complex magazine in 2014, Minaj revealed that she very much wants to become a mother.

“I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business,” she said. “I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper, but I definitely will be married before I have my baby. I want to make sure I do it in that order. I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head.”

People were hoping that Mill would be the lucky guy who could finally get Minaj to settle down, but if the latest rumors are true, then the female MC might have to look further.

Minaj took Mill along to celebrate her birthday in Turks and Caicos Islands, southeast of the Bahamas on Dec. 8, reported Daily Mail. On Saturday, the tabloid pointed to the cryptic Instagram post from Minaj where she shared a handwritten note that read, “Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.”

Daily Mail took this to mean that there’s trouble in paradise.

However, Hollywood Life noted that the Instagram post came just a few days after the couple’s vacation. So unless something drastic happened in a span of less than a week, then the rumored split up might not be true.

Of course, without confirmation from the representatives of the two rap artists, all these are mere speculation for now. The pair has been tight-lipped amid all the buzz.
