Kanye West Spotted in NYC, Rick Ross Hints ‘Breakdown’ All A Scheme

A somber and joyless looking Kanye West was spotted in New York on Monday without wife Kim Kardashian, rumored to be “annoyed” with him for defying doctor’s orders to rest in order to jet across the country.

Just days after being released from the UCLA Medical Center following a near two-week stay for what’s been described as sleep deprivation and mental exhaustion, the 39-year-old “Famous” rapper is showing few signs of slowing down.

“Kim acts annoyed,” said a source. “She also seems miserable and is spending a lot of time with her family.”

Just what that might mean for the hard-luck couple’s overall relationship remains a matter of speculation, with a source telling PEOPLE magazine, “They both do their own thing a lot of the time but they’re constantly checking in with each other about things — and especially about the kids.”

Several other publications have reported the couple is having major troubles and may be on the verge of splitting.

The NYC sighting marked the second time West has been seen out and about since his hospital release. Sporting his new blond hairdo, he also rocked a pair of Yeezy trainers and baggy clothing.

West’s look was carefree enough to have fellow rap star Rick Ross speculating that his whole “psychotic breakdown” was just a ruse to attract more attention for himself.

“One time for Yeezy,” Ross said during his own New York City appearance on Monday. “My homie’s a genius. And for everybody who thought he was wigging out, he played y’all n**gas.”

The “Stay Schemin” rapper said little else about his theory and offered nothing as proof or further evidence to support it.

West first started sparking concern about his mental well-being when he took the stage for several stops on his “Saint Pablo Tour” to voice what many considered to be bizarre rants that were uncharacteristic of him.

In one instance, he hinted that Beyonce cheated to win the MTV Video of the Year Award she recently bagged and that Jay-Z once sent out hired hitmen to track him down.

While all the talk is thought to have put a major strain on his once close relationship with the superstar couple, word is Beyonce is now encouraging Jay-Z to let bygones be bygones and seek to repair his fractured relationship with West.

During another stop, West stunned fans by boasting if he had voted in the recently concluded, hotly contested presidential election, he would have cast his ballot for republican winner Donald Trump.

West has long been viewed as somewhat of an icon in the hip-hop community for once going on national TV during the height of all he destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina to boldly declare “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

Meanwhile, West is also rumored to already be feeling the creative juices and working on music for a new album. Reports are West has taken to comparing his latest ordeal to the tragedy of losing his mother five years ago, a time during which he produced his classic hit “Through the Wire.”

In addition to his own struggles, West has also had to deal with his wife recently being robbed at gunpoint of millions in valuables while in Paris attending Fashion Week.

Since being released from the hospital, West has continued to receive outpatient treatment.

With her husband is away, Kardashian marked her return to the spotlight by posing as the Day 12 model for Love magazine’s video advent calendar.

Since her Paris ordeal in November, the 36-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had kept a much lower public profile. Kardashian also appeared in a 30-page profile for the magazine in 2015.
